Maximise Your Summer Transformation – Keep Going!

Pascale is back for August to help you through the mid-summer period and beyond. Last month she helped you with your summer slim down mindset and gave you some fantastic tools to cope with different situations, and now it’s time to maximise your transformation and take it to the next level.

This week Pascale talks about creating your own personal vision and mission statement as well as focusing on your strengths. Doing this will give you more clarity to help you move forward in your weight loss journey. 

Your vision statement 

When creating this, think about your life goals, where you want to go. Here are some examples:

  • Your ideal weight.
  • Your ideal body shape.
  • How you want to feel about yourself.
  • How you want your health to be.
  • Where you want your career to be at.
  • What your family life will be like.

My mission statement

Your mission statement dictates how you will reach the goals in your vision statement. Your ‘how’s’ could be things like:

  • Say an affirmation to yourself in the mirror each morning.
  • Start a daily routine.
  • Introducing a new healthy habit.
  • Commit to the New You Plan for ‘x’ weeks.
  • Listen to an inspiring and motivational podcast on a regular basis.
  • Find an accountability buddy.

Focus on your strengths

We all know our flaws and spend a lot of time amplifying them, so in week one of maximising your summer transformation, Pascale will help you to discover your strengths and teach you how to use them.

Your strengths could be:

  • Patience
  • Humour
  • Tolerance
  • Empathy
  • Caring

If you’re unsure about your strengths, ask friends, family or loved ones what they believe your strengths to be

Another way to find your strengths is to write down your accomplishments and see what did to achieve them, for example:

  • I raised a child on my own:
    • Patience
    • Caring
    • Independence
  • I finally passed my driving test on the 5th attempt:
    • Perseverance
    • Drive
    • Determination
