1) Show appreciation

Sometimes we forget to show appreciation. This is especially true when it comes to the more simple things in life, which often mean the most to us. Try turning a negative situation on its head by noting three things you appreciate. Remembering and acknowledging what you appreciate in life can have a great impact on uplifting your mood.

2) Don’t compare yourself to others

This is something the majority of us are probably guilty of. Comparing ourselves to others just creates unnecessary pain. If you pass one person, you are likely to find another who is more successful and so the cycle continues. Comparison to others creates unnecessary anxiety so try to break this habit once and for all.

While on plan, don’t compare yourself to others who have lost more weight than you. Seek comfort in the fact that you too will get there one day.


3) Feed your positivity

Mentally rehearsing how great an event will play out is a fantastic method to improve your performance and decrease anxiety. So whether it’s a big meeting, job interview or first date, envision how great it could be beforehand.

When you wake up in the morning, mentally envision how great you’ll feel at the end of the day knowing that you’ve stuck to the plan 100%. Wake up with determination, go to bed with satisfaction.


8) Focus on what you want

Focusing on what you want rather than what you don’t want, can make it harder to remain positive so always work towards your goal!

9) Act positively
