When you are on your weight loss journey you need to think worst case scenario. What is YOUR worst case scenario?
- What are your biggest fears about piling on more and more weight?
- Are you worried you might die?
- Are you worried about getting diabetes or other obesity related illnesses?
- Are you worried you might not be able to have any children?
- Are you worried you will never find true love because you have no confidence and don’t like to go out?
Fears are very personal. Everyone will have their own unique fears related to their own unique circumstances. Get REALLY CLEAR and spend some time imaging what your future will be like. If you don’t take control of your weight and you continue to pile on the pounds every year, where will you end up? Really get a clear picture in your head of where you could end up if you don’t take action about your weight problem.
This picture in your mind should be really depressing. It should be the fear that drives you not to go down the road that can take you to this place.

- What will you do doing every day?
- What dreams would you have the confidence to achieve?
- Who could you care for and help?
- Where would you go?
- What about your family and loved ones?
Get really clear on how amazing things could be if you do take control of your weight. Paint the brightest most beautiful picture in your mind’s eye. And remember… “If you can dream it, you can do it”.
So the next time you feel like “Oh I really don’t want to have shake today” when everyone in work is ordering their fat filled baguette for lunch… don’t think you are choosing a shake over a baguette.
You are choosing your BEST SCENARIO over your WORST SCENARIO.
You are choosing your dreams over your worst fears. Once you build this habit of how to think into every decision you will feel so empowered, because the more decisions you make that reaffirm to you that you can take control, you can change, you can decide what direction you want your life to go in, the more you will like and love yourself.
