[Video] October Challenge Task 2 for this weeks Prize – Unstoppable Positivity!!!
Build your Positivity this week while using the Focus from week 1 to become unstoppable!!!!
October is going to be a very special month for us as we aim to help you nail down every aspect of your New You mindset to ensure that you get to your goals as quickly and effectively as possible. This weeks task is really about helping deliver the kind of results you are looking for from this plan – KICK ASS weight loss!!!
In light of this we would like to hear from you in relation to how you use positive affirmations. If this is not something that you currently do then this is a super time to learn about using them as they are tried and tested tool used to boost morale and motivation in any situation. In the simplest of terms every word we say and every thought we have creates a life experience – it really is about the learning process. The question then is this – What do you want to learn???
One trick I used to use was selecting a goal – a task I most wanted to achieve. I would then put this down as a note that I would leave in front of my computer, on the dashboard of my car and the mirror in my room. I found the result was that this goal played a lot more consciously on my mind and I found myself setting aside more time to achieve this goal.
Something that is always in front of you will gain more and more priority! So join us today and let us know what imaginative ways you are affirming a positive outlook in your life.

Disco Dracula Grant!
Ok this is my 3rd attempt of writing it so hopefully I won’t lose it all…
My ways of staying positive are:
Writing a diary entry everyday.
Looking over my New you words of how I want my life when I get to goal
And recently reading my Ellie notes that are stuck to my door so each morning and every time I visit the loo and let’s face it I go there a lot I get read that someone is supporting me and hopes I succeed.
Great video Grant x
Awwwh I love this ….. So lovely to hear you enjoy the notes 🙂 xx
Know what your goal is, know clearly what weight you want. Then you will visualise it and plan how to get it. The positive affirmation I would usually use is one I have always used for everything because I can be a little lazy and I know myself and my own weaknesses .
It’s ” Cop yourself on, put on your big girl pants ,stop whinging and get on with it, keep your eye on the ball! ”
Now I know that affirmation is not one that will work for everyone , it’s just that I need a good giving out to sometimes and I have to do it myself. I have it written down on parchment paper in my wallet, I took a pic of it with my iPad and I look at it all the time. It has dates from last July until Xmas and my weight losses. I write all the worries and problems also into my diary and that is really my key to getting to goal. My diary, talking to myself.
I just want suggest also that perhaps you could bring out a New You diary? One without dates on the pages just affirmations on the top of each page and whatever else you wanted to put in. Just a thought?
We are actually working on this at the moment Solas 🙂 xx Great minds think alike!! x
Excellent 🙂
I have 3 one is my screen saver in work, one on my phone and one in my kitchen.
“I have already succeed to my goal, I’m just waiting for the results to catch up”
“I allow myself to feel good being me”
“I accept my body for the shape I have been blessed with”
😉
It’s your road , and your s alone
Others may walk it with you
But no one can walk it for you..
I have this on my Facebook page I just love it ,
It just makes me GET UP ,do it for myself
I have NEW YOU with me , but it’s I have to DO IT
🙂
I write a diary/inspiration book every day, which keeps me focused, celebrating every new habit, I log these as my credits as well as my successes.
My saying is Shake The Tree, a song I heard back in January, which means what you want does not fall at your feet you have to Shake the Tree to get it…. This is my mantra…
Shake that Tree everybody
Positive affirmations are good things you say to yourself – if you convince yourself they’re true, they will become true.
I make sure I say everything in the present tense as oppose to future. That’s why I think it is important to say for e.g. “I am happy” as oppose to “I deserve to be… Or I will be” everyone deserves to be happy.
My positive affirmations are:
I am confident.
I feel strong, healthy and fit.
I am serene and happy.
I have faith and deep belief in myself.
I love my body and I only feed it wit healthy New You Products.
I think it’s so important to pick the right positive affirmations for YOU and say it to Youself everyday!!!!!! X
Positivity is an interesting one for me, because whilst I’m an optimistic, happy person by nature, I come from a rather critical background and a parent who generally believed that being negative will spur you on to prove them wrong (maybe this works for some people but it only ever made me unhappy!), so positivity and self-kindness is something I’ve tried hard to teach myself.
To maintain positivity around me:
I love the affirmations from Louise Hay, if I need a boost I have a 90 min audio file which. play as I go to sleep. They include things like, ‘I am beautiful just as I am’ or ‘I trust myself to make the best decisions for me’ or ‘I believe in myself’.
I try and limit the time I spend with very negative people – obviously not people who are just having a bad time, we all have that but, you know those people who are just draining – never happy, the kind who’ll say ‘oh I won a car but it’s so awful, now I have to tax it, insure it…’ and off they go moaning about what a hassle it was to win a car!!!
My favourite affirmation is one I learnt from a place called the Global Retreat Centre which is down near Oxford, it says:
‘I have a body, I am not my body’ – this one has been excellent on my weight loss journey and is also great if you’re ill and your body is failing in some way. It reminds me that, yes I have a body but that if it’s not quite how I would like it to be right now – either because it’s carrying a few excess pounds/stone or because it’s not functioning right at the moment – well that doesn’t define who ‘I’ am. ‘I’ am still me, and everything good and nice about me continues to exist – I am not defined by my body. Like I say, I love that one!
Finally
Oops, clicked submit by mistake lol 🙂 this is what happebe when you try and post on a smartphone!!
Finally, I keep a gratitude diary, not necessarily every day just as and when – I list all the things I’m grateful for. Sometimes it’s people, sometimes it’s things, sometimes it’s something completely fun and silly like being able to sing at the top of my lungs in my car!!
Positivity is the best gift you can give yourself – you can’t always change a situation but you can change how you feel about it 🙂 xx
my positivity is – first thing looking at ellies wee notes around my mirror , always pack a bag tne nite before with all my ny goodies for work .I leave a bag for the gym at all times out in the car incase I get an xtra 1/2 hour here or there . My desk top has a photo of me at my heaviest I always cringed when I seen it but not now I smile I have came such a long way in such a short space of time and still going strong I am POSITIVE I will not look like that again .x 🙂
My positive affirmation is “Today is a stepping stone to the New Me of tomorrow “..
For every pound I lose on the plan I place a shell into a jar, watching the shells build up is a visual reminder of how far I have come on my New You Journey.
Every day I wake up and know that I am closer to my goal.
I am positive I will get there 🙂
I take one day at a time and mark it off on the calendar , I feel proud of how far I have come .
i tell myself “you can if you think you can!” 🙂 x
Everyone has a mobile phone and I am constantly using mine. What I started doing a few weeks ago was downloading a ‘whiteboard’ onto my phone – like a big notepad & every week added a big motivational slogan to it. Everyday I would see this as everyday I use my phone!!! Its a great way to keep motivated. My saying this week on my whiteboard is: “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream”. This is very fitting for me as I recently changed my weightloss goal by another stone. Visual aids definitely help me achieve what I once thoughr was impossible x
I learned many decades ago that the brain only responds to clear commands therefore, I never use the word TRY. I find that if we change our thought and language patterns, we CAN change our reality.
I use different affirmations for different things.
My daily favorites are: Just for today I will be the best I can be in every aspect of my life.
Just for today I will give thanks for all my blessings.
I am free to be what I want to be.
I have my little note stuck on the bathroom door so I see it first thing every morning. I repeat the affirmations throughout the day. xx
I stay positive by reminding myself of my goal and by setting myself mini goals. I have downloaded a diary app for my ipad and I write down my weight, the products I have had and the water I have drank. I also ‘borrow’ the quotes and pictures that other people put on the ss page and copy and paste one onto everyday of my diary. I can look back and see how far I have come (losing one stone in 4 weeks) and see how far I have to go to my next mini goal, the next one being a girly night in 2 weeks – I’m looking forward to the comments on my weight loss
I was once told that when your brain hears the word loss it grabs an extra hold on to the weight you are trying to lose. So instead of calling myself a loser, I call myself a winner and remind myself everyday that:
I am winning a new healthier body
I am winning confidence
I am winning wonderful wedding pictures in a gorgeous dress
It sounds a bit silly but it helps me when I think of straying off the diet.
I look at my photo that I took before starting New You this inspires me to keep going with my journey.
I plan the lovely things I can do with my family now my health has improved.
I remember that this part of the journey is short term and my healthy eating education is a life long journey!
I have these written on my cupboard door so each time I get a new you product I can affirm why I am doing this, it helps me to stay positive!
Mine is simple get up every morning go down stairs put a cross through yesterday’s date. Which also I can see where I started from. I have 3 photo’s stuck around my kitchen to remind me of the past and next to each photo is another of when I was thin. I tell my self each day I will get there and it won’t be long. This keeps me going and I know and tell myself I can do this x
My tip is when I fancy something I always stop think and imagine my self slimmer and tel myself I can have it when I’ve finished my journey x
I write a diary daily and I have a dress and a pair of trousers that fitted me when I was pregnant and want to be back in them for Xmas. I have a photo of them on my fone next to my fat foto! 🙂
I stay positive by imagining the end result. When I am tempted to default I think thin and weigh up eating against the feel good factor when I step on those scales. I sometimes take myself off to bed with my latest novel when I feel temptation is going to take over as my craving time is at night. It feels good to get up the next morning knowing that I have stayed on track.
I keep positive by imagining my thinner self, by thinking how much more confident and happier I will feel about myself when I am at my goal weight, by seeing the difference in my clothes and planning my new wardrobe. I regularly try on clothes which I have ‘retired’ over the years. I read somewhere that you should be empowered by your willpower and ability to say no and not feel sorry for yourself, I have been faced with temptation on a regular basis since starting the diet and now enjoy saying no to all the things I often ate mindlessly before.I love reading the quotes/affirmations in the new you products which motivate me also and the comments from others about my weight loss help too 🙂
I <3 Affirmations – BIG TIME! A few years ago when rebuilding my self esteem I literally had every mirror covered with nice colourful photos of quotes I made up lovingly for me on the pc. I now have my "Love Me" book where I write what I need and what I know will help me keep my positivity up nice and high!
Two favourites are – "Wish It, Dream it, Do it" which was my kitchen motto for the last three years – and my new Kitchen Motto – stuck up in BIG on one wall (wanted to post a pic but cant see a link for blog posting!) is –
"LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE"
Go for it Guys!
