16 Stone in 10 Months!!!

Daniel’s Achievements on The New You Plan | VLCD

Daniel started the plan on the 23rd of June 2013, in that time he lost an impressive 16 stone in this  time which is just over 10 months! His jean size dropped from 66 right down to a size 48. That is 18 inches in just 10 months.

Daniel’s reasons for starting:

In simple terms Daniel said it was something that needed to be done! He could not move the way he wanted to and daily tasks were far more difficult than they should have been. He did not want to go round to friends houses for fear of breaking furniture. In addition to this there was the fact that as he gained the weight he wanted to lose it. Seeing the results that other people were getting on the diet was a major motivator for Daniel. All these factors combined with a tragic life event made Daniel determined and were the factors behind the success you see here. He wanted to be comfortable in his own skin. It was not about jean sizes it was just about being able to live a good quality of life.

Daniel’s advice for starting out & staying on track:

Stay focused, it is all about the will power to get through the first week. Remember what you want. Daniel said he kept telling himself he wanted to be better than this. Daniel says the best advice he can give is just keep your mind on your goals!! Daniels advice to stay on track runs through the same vein as keeping on track at the start in that he says, ‘Just get on with it, just keep pushing and again keep your focus on your goals. ‘

Daniel was quick to answer this saying that walking down the street was the first most obvious benefit. Walking to the local corner shop was something that put his success into context. In addition to this Daniel is now killing it at the gym, we will pick up this more later on in the interview though as Daniel really is killing it here. Daniel also frequents friends houses without concern for their furniture 🙂 (You rock buddy – you have the mindset of a real champion!) Thirdly Daniel has noted a marked improvement in his joint pain, which makes his working life so much better.

Daniel’s menu plan and tips on TFR:

To get his water allowance in Daniel drinks out of a 2l bottle and refills it at least once a day. He will use the water flavourings. To start with Daniel would have two meal packs in the mid morning and then he would have two later in the evening. As time progressed Daniel had one pack in the morning, two in the afternoon and two in the evening which is recommended for people over 17 stone and suited his busy life style.

Daniels exercise routine:

Consisted of a balance of cardio and strength training. Cardio was the treadmill, cross trainer, arm bike & normal bike – each for about 15 minutes. In this time Daniel has noticed his fitness level, endurance levels and and overall energy levels increase.
