Day 3 – Thank God for Bars!

Hey All, Damian here

Today was hectic. I stayed up way way too late last night, and as a result was pressed for time this morning. I was hungry when I woke up, and because I had to rush, I grabbed the first thing that came to hand from the box- Chocolate shake.

I put the kettle on, and as it was boiling I whizzed the shake with some water. I then filled one mug with coffee and the other with the shake. I knocked back the shake in about 3 gulps, and there was a little bit left, so  ( I am not sure what possessed me) I poured the remainder of the shake into my coffee. It was a pleasant surprise. I would defo advise you to try it!

Drinking a lot of water has it’s pros and cons. I think it has given me a lot more energy, I feel less slugish than I did prior to downing 4 litres or so a day. However, I need the loo every 15 minutes – I could swear people thought I was up to something fishy nipping to the loo 4 times an hour 😀

I was a bit “wobbly” today. I think the late night, chaotic morning, and the smells wofting from the kitchen played a part. I know this is going to sound mega corny, but I have downloaded a few songs that put me in a good mood, and when I was having a bit of a “wobble” I would bang a tune on and drink some water or coffee. Really helps!

My attention span was terrible today, and I made no provision for having anything to eat after I left home this morning! Thankfully I remembered reading somewhere the other day about putting a bar in your bag or glovebox or something… And unlike me, I had headed this advice. I had a , somewhat squashed, chocolate truffle bar in my laptop bag! Result!!

As I said, today was a bit manic, and as soon as I got home, I had the Spicy Spaghetti Noodle for dinner (favourite meal so far). I feel really tired, but delighted that today went well and somehow, I managed! I had intended going for a swim, but I am just too tired. Going to have an early night I think. Will have another chocolate shake before bed, and that will be it!

I think the hardest part about this whole thing isn’t the “not eating” it is just trying not to be bored!

Anyway, I hope you guys are liking the Blog so far. It is not very exciting, I know, but it is a Blog, not Sex and The City 🙂
