Christmas is FAST approaching, if you are overweight and feeling frustrated with your size the thought of feeling unhappy with how you look at Christmas is enough to drive you to the biscuit tin rather than your VLCD diet box.
It is VERY COMMON for people who feel stressed out about their weight to eat more, and when the pressure is on, and a deadline is getting closer (no they can’t put Christmas off for a month I already enquired!) Then the pressure to lose those pounds can make us feel overwhelmed and do ourselves more damage. It can be a vicious circle and make us feel out of control and helpless. If you feel like this, then take some time out to do something different so you can take control and feel empowered and motivated.
In this article we are going to look at 5 helpful tips to help you take control of your eating, get back in your VLCD total food replacement plan so you can lose some pounds in time for Christmas, with ease and with a smile on your face. 🙂
- CREATE YOUR CHRISTMAS VISION: Can you see yourself this Christmas, What is important to you? Where do you want to be? What do you want to be wearing? How do you want to be feeling? Who do you want to be with? Create your vision, and this needs to be something that is really special to you, a vision that gives you that little butterfly feeling of excitement in your tummy. Everyone’s vision will be unique to them. My vision is on Christmas Eve we are going out to our favourite hotel for the afternoon, and I want us to all be dressed up in nice outfits and I want to enjoy getting my photo graph taken with my family. Get clear on your vision. If you can create a vision board and look at everyday this will help you to stay focused on your goal.
- DON’T FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE LEFT IT TOO LATE: There’s a good number of weeks to Christmas, enough time for you to make an amazing difference to your waistline, face, arms, legs, tummy, every part of you WILL be slimmer if you stick to the plan from now to Christmas. If you have stalled on getting started you might feel you have left it too late. You have NEVER left it too late, you have to make the most of the time you have now. It amazing the difference of just dropping one or two dress sizes can give you. So set yourself goals that inspire you and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. One or two dress sizes is FANTASTIC, you have lots of time to achieve that.
- FOCUS ON TODAY: This is a day by day journey. Enjoy it 🙂 Focus on the process, drink lots of water, think lots of positive supportive thoughts (read this article to help you feel stronger in your mindset). Don’t get too ahead of yourself, do your best today, break your journey into mini goals and make sure your reward yourself along the way. Your first mini goal might be to do one day 100%, and if you achieve that goal, then go and buy yourself something nice like a new nail varnish or eyeshadow. Mini treats along the way can really help you to enjoy the process. You don’t have to spend money, long baths are lovely, light some candles, lots of pampering, watch your favourite movie, write in a journal, just find the time to focus on you today.
- SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE ON THE SAME MISSION: When you are with people who are on the same journey as you, you can get amazing inspiration.
