If you want to see positive results in your life and weight loss, then you need to have a positive mindset.

You need to be extra vigilant about what you think.  So many of us just let lots of random negative thoughts flood our minds without realising the impact that this will have on our lives and our weight loss journey.  Every decision you ever made started off as a thought, all the results you can see in your life, started off as a thought.

If you are starting out on your weight loss journey, be extra careful of your thoughts towards the process….  you need to approach this with a determined mindset.  If you are thinking of giving up before you have even started that really doesn’t stand you in much stead for success.

If you are thinking…

  • I hope I like the food. 
  • I hope I can do this.
  • I hope I can….

Then you need to change all those hopes into sheer determination.

Instead of thinking “I hope…” think…

“I am going to do this 100% until I get to my goal.  I am not going to let anything or anyone stand in my way, especially myself, I am going to be strong and determined, I am going to give this my all, because I am worth it, and I need to finally take control and responsibility for my weight and my lifestyle.  I will follow this plan until I get to my goal, I will break the bad habits, I will get my confidence back, I will start to love myself again, and make healthy choices for my body and mind.  I am starting now and I am 100% committed.”

Life is hard sometimes, dieting is hard, maintaining weight loss is hard, work is hard, finances are hard, raising a family is hard, keeping a home is hard, car troubles are hard, relationships are hard.  But if all you think is that everything is hard, then you are giving your power away everyday!  Focus on what YOU CAN CHANGE, and take responsibility for it, and go and make it happen.  If you can’t change something and it is getting you down, then you MUST CHANGE HOW YOU THINK ABOUT IT.

Remember you can only think ONE THING AT A TIME.  So anytime a negative thought comes into your head, you have the choice to let it stay and focus on it, OR, you can replace it with a more empowering thought and focus on that instead.  The quicker you change your thinking from negative thoughts to positive thoughts the less and less you will find negative thoughts come into your head.

Weight loss is all about mindset.  You need to have a strong, positive mindset towards your weight loss.  Remember that this is an exciting time for you, this is YOUR TRANSFORMATION.  It takes guts, determination and a positive attitude. All of which you have the power to achieve if you take responsibility for what you think everyday.

So from today, make sure you are in charge of what you think about, and make sure that all your thoughts are taking you in the direction that you want to be in.  Towards your goal of being slim, stylish, attractive, healthy, fun loving, positive, happy and full of energy!

      love it. this is sooo true, if you can get your mind right and think positive then that is the biggest battle. i truly beleive you can do it

      Just reading his message has done me a power of good. It’s all about positivity and that is just what you need when that little demon voice in your head is urging you to secretly eat something and no one will know….. I feel my positivity is recharged after reading your wise words and am ready to face the challenge of successfully getting through another day. Thank you!
