New You Plan FAQ: Will one dinner ruin my diet?

Q. Oh no I am craving my husband`s dinner….HELP!!!!! Would it set me back much if I ate something I shouldn’t?


A. OK you need to step back and think about the situation….Yes by all means go eat a carb filled dinner!!!! What will that achieve? You will knock yourself out of ketosis, undo your hard work and put yourself back to square one…and for what??? To eat some calorie laden food that got you into this situation in the first place!!!
REMIND yourself how badly you want to lose the weight. How much you want to reach your target and be a normal HEALTHY weight. How you want to be fit enough to do more with your kids. How you want to walk into any shop and fit into their sizes. How you want to combat health problems due to obesity.  How you want to be able to wear knee high boots in winter from a high street store. How you want to get your picture taken without cringing when you see it. How you want to feel good about yourself. How you want to be a good example to your children. How you want this diet to be YOUR LAST ONE!!!!!!

All of those things are WITHIN YOUR REACH! Just stick to the plan and you will be the weight you long to be!!!! Take the control away from the food….you are in control of what goes into your mouth! Also I think its important NOT to make food out to be this unattainable thing you will never sample again….This will only make you want it more! The subconscious mind is a powerful thing so tell yourself oh look that burger looks nice, once my weight is under control I can have one of those as a treat on a Sunday! Not OMG must have it now….cant stop myself! lol
Lastly have FAITH in yourself! I firmly believe that we self sabotage ourselves as we never truly believe we will lose the weight so its time to START believing!!! Write down a positive mantra/affirmation like – I know I can do this, and repeat this to yourself as often as you can day and night! Your subconscious will start to believe in its own ability and help you put the plan into action!
