blog4Sonya smashed her goals on our VLCD program losing four and half stone and dropping from a size 18-20 right down to the amazing size 10-12 as you see here. Sonya took her time and did this over the space of almost a year taking breaks in between and coming back to it.

 

 

Reasons for Sonya choosing the The New You Plan VLCD:

blog3Sonya had tried a couple of other diets without much success. She found that carrying the extra weight on top of being a working mother of two left her exhausted and in need of change. Not only to give her the energy and health back that she needed, but also the confidence to start doing the types of things that she needed to be doing for her. Sonya loves the fact that when she goes clothes shopping now she is able to buy items straight off the rack!

Sonya’s tips to success on a VLCD:

blog2Sonya states that hitting her daily water allowance was a massive help to her on our plan. Drinking the recommend amount of water on a VLCD is crucial in helping to curb hunger in the early stages before ketosis kicks in and it also helps aid digestion. Water as a whole is important –  a hydrated body will always perform better!

Sonya also took our advice in that when she did struggle to stay on plan, rather than breaking the diet she would have an additional New You product.  It is far better to do this than it is to break the plan with the intention of coming back to it.

Sonya’s routine while on Total food replacement:

blog1Sonya gives a great amount of detail about her average day on our VLCD program. She would have water first thing in the morning with coffee and porridge. (She mentions that our porridge is something she is going to continue using even after the diet). Then at lunch time which was between 1pm and 2pm for Sonya, she would have a hot meal and she drinks black tea and coffee.

Later in the afternoon Sonya would have a bar with coffee as this helped her while others around her may have been snacking in the office. Then in the evenings Sonya would have her dinner and more water. Sonya also mentions that she loved filling the gaps with our broth – a really awesome savory drink.

Sonya’s time on refeed:

Sonya used the refeed guide on our website to help her make the transition back onto conventional foods. You can CLICK HERE to download this. Further to this Sonya used the menu ideas she found in the private and exclusive group we have on Facebook for refeeding known as Momentum Maintainers to help keep her on track during the refeed process.

Sonya also points out a useful tip that many people use to help maintain once you have completed the diet and that using our ketogenic snacks as treats rather than reaching for the calorie filled alternatives you may indulge yourself with in the supermarket.
