Motivation Monday with The New You Plan
Blog Written by Tasha Hynes
Creating YOUR New You is a continuous journey, there really is no beginning or end. When you reach your target weight, your new you journey does not end, it just enters a different phase, where you are more focused on healthy eating and maintaining your weight and hopefully focusing on getting fitter and stronger.
If you REALLY want to create your New You, then you need to DEFINE what that is for you. Creating your New You is a very personal thing. What I want for me, might not be for you. So make sure you do not let other people define you.
You should define YOU. No one else.
Total Food Replacement – TFR diets are all about powering through moments of weakness. Your mind is your greatest tool and knowing how to control your own emotions and urges is a skill that we want you to develop not only to ensure your success on the plan but also life after the diet. One question I am asked a lot by new customers is – will I put the weight back on? The answer is no if you take what we teach you and put it into practice and this starts now. Create structure and discipline now to last a life time. So today’s topic is how do you kick it up a gear and power through weak moments on TFR?

if i am having a tough day i sit and remind myself why i am doing this, i look at my old pics and the old journals i wrote when i started they remind me it is working and it is worth it x
On tough day- I keep busy. Keep moving, doing things around house or going for a walk. Sometimes though, a really tough day requires a hug.
The days I find hard I find it helps to keep my mind busy. Little chores round the house. A board game with the kids. Things like that. Just need to keep my mind distracted. My new me will be confident, healthy and happy. My three words I keep telling myself are : YES I CAN ?
On my tough days I find if I go to my wardrobe and start trying on all the really beautiful clothes I used to wear it gives me real motivation, determination and the will to just get on with it!
It takes my mind totally off what was distracting me and makes me content that soon I’ll be able to wear all those clothes again! And every few days when I try on I find something that fits again! It’s as good as a tonic!
Live love and laugh!

Yesterday my husband brought home a fabulous pitza, of course straight away my mind started to play tricks with me by saying “why not treat yourself its Sunday”. This small talk went on for awhile until I decided enough was enough of that. I went and had my fabulous pasta and brocoli shake It was divine. We are the masters over our minds not the other way round. The good result was there this morning with another pound of fat off. Let the positive beneficial thoughts rule.
the thought of going back to those hard dark days when i was overweight and unhappy keeps\me motivated and moving forward, who wants to go back there? also my birthday is saturday and i want to look fit and fabulous lol simples x
I am very lucky that I have been doing this for long enough now that motivation isn’t an issue, as the plan has become every day life to me. I am day 78 today. Just the thought of ‘normal’ food is a strange one. I don’t want it!
I have so many things that keep me going though – first is a body goal as the screensaver on my phone, then a mum’s group I run on facebook has a weightloss page too. I feel as I run it i have to set a good example, there are only 12 girls in there, but I get told weekly how inspiring I am to them. My best friend is very slim and toned and currently doing another diet plan, so we keep in touch about how well we are both doing and keep planning for what an amazing summer we are going to have! The thought of spending another summer big is awful! Every time I weigh, I also take photos of myself in the same clothes as when I started and create a comparison photo to check throughout the week!
I’ve promised myself I’ll buy a beautiful dress that I’ve had my eye on for a while once I’ve dropped two dress sizes. One down – one to go. Everytime I get tempted I just picture my beautiful blue dress!
On a tough day I’ll focus on where I want to be, and remember how I felt a week or two ago on my journey in comparison to now. I’ll go window shopping on the internet & look at clothes I would like to wear to the next event I have coming up. I also use walking as a great distraction or get myself to the gym – I love the feel of that ache in my body after a good workout – it serves as a daily reminder of the progress I’m making.
