Rob’s VLCD success story | The secrets to a 6 stone weight loss*

When and Why Rob Started his VLCD journey:
I started the new you plan in January 2013. I have been on and off it since then. I was in Amsterdam visiting my brother and there was a Fun fair setup in Dam square. They had a massive ride that swung you way into the air and around in circles. When I tried to get on it the guy couldn’t close the safety bar and told me I had to get off. I told my friends I just got scared and had to get off myself because I was so embarrassed. That made the decision for me.
Rob’s VLCD Success’s so far:
I tipped the scales at 21st 9lbs/ I am currently 15st11lbs but aim to be below 14 stone before April 2015(When I get Married) I went from 42″ waist to a 36″waist in jeans. Shopping is definitely better as before I was shopping for clothes that fit instead of clothes I liked. I’ve bought more clothes in the last year than I have in the last 15 put together. Also I can walk for a respectable distance without getting pains in my shins and out of breath. I can now wear shoes with laces as well as i can reach my feet to tie them. Small things but they feel great.
Rob Talks about the New You Support:
The new you is an excellent service and I have enjoyed the Facebook secret slimmers group. I didn’t post much but got some great tips from there that made it much easier to continue on the diet.
Rob’s Advice to anyone starting out and trying to stay on Track:
I think I bought my first products a while before starting the diet. I kept thinking about birthdays and events coming up and I said I’d start after this or that. But something new always came up so if you think that way you will never start. If you are thinking of starting place an order and start as soon as it arrives. Honestly standing on the scales every morning kept me going. I didn’t find the diet that bad as there is so much choice in it and most of it tastes great.
Rob’s VLCD routine and refeed:
I started each day with a pint of water. Then I had a shake for breakfast followed by a meal at lunchtime. In the evening I had a soup about 6pm followed by a bar at about 9. In between all meals I had my water bottle constantly with me. i also drank a few coffees each day. I always drink it black with no sugar so this was not an issue.
As I’m on the diet on and off for the past year and a half I have refeed a few times now. I followed the plan the first couple of times and then done it from memory after that. I have to admit some were shorter than they should have been but I tried to be strict with myself.
Rob’s exercise plan:
I started walking everyday. At first I went about 2km but very quickly got up to around 4-5km which took the same amount of time as the 2km when I started. I also play drums with a band so that’s an extra few calories burned each week.
Rob’s Favorite Products:
I love the Hazelnut Shakes, The Chili and the Hazelnut bars. They made the diet much easier.
Rob’s advice to anyone who is unsure if this is for them:
Well if you are thinking about the diet then you probably want to lose some weight. I have tried for years with different diets and never had any success. Some involved going to Chemists to be weighed weekly and counseling which I found off putting. With this diet you order online and get the food delivered to your door. The range is amazing so you never get bored of it. I put it off for a while and regret doing that now as every week you put it off could be precious pounds going away.
Thank you so much to Rob for this awesome interview!!

Well done you, I am new to New You plan and I hope this time when I get the weight of I keep it of, your story has inspired me to think that I will. I totally agree start on the plan as soon as it arrives on your door step I had mine for almost three weeks and as well all the reasons you mentioned you are not actually doing it in “real time” I mean your first motivational email should be the same day you begin the plan. So thanks and all the best, hope to hear more from you as your journey continues, 🙂
