At The New You Plan, your health, safety, and long-term success are always our top priorities. That’s why we’re bringing you this comprehensive guide, written by our very own Joanne from Customer Support.

With over 15 years of experience in the health and weight loss industry, Joanne has supported thousands of customers online, on social media, and over the phone. She understands the concerns and challenges that come up most often – and in this series, she’s answering them all with clarity, kindness, and practical advice.

Across 6 blogs, Joanne will cover everything from the safety of the plan and the importance of refeed, to handling sugar cravings, managing time off, and smoothly transitioning back to conventional food.

Today, we’re starting with one of the most common questions of all:

What Makes The New You Plan Nutritionally Balanced and Safe?

One of the most common questions we are asked is: “Is The New You Plan safe to follow since it is low in calories?” The answer is a confident yes as long as you follow the plan correctly and listen carefully to your body throughout the process.

Here is why The New You Plan supports you at every step:

Created Specifically for Your Body’s Needs

Our products are not just low in calories. They are carefully developed to replace all your daily meals safely while providing your body with everything it needs to flourish. By following The New You Plan properly, you will be fuelling your body with:

  • A perfect balance of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats
  • All the essential vitamins and minerals to keep you feeling your best every day
  • Added fibre to keep your digestion comfortable and regular

This plan is not only about losing weight; it is about feeling healthy, strong and full of energy.

Important Note:

Make sure you enjoy the recommended number of packs every day. Skipping a pack may seem like it will speed things up, but it can actually slow your metabolism and leave you feeling low on energy. Eating four or five products each day is ideal. This amount helps you stay safely on track while supporting your health and wellbeing.

High Protein Snacks to Support You

We understand that sometimes you need a little extra. That is why we have created high protein sweet and savoury snacks to help you through your journey. These snacks are perfect for:

  • Keeping cravings under control
  • Adding variety to your diet
  • Treating yourself without undoing your progress

Remember that snacks are designed to support you and are not replacements for your meal packs. The meal packs contain the full nutritional benefit that snacks do not. Follow the snack guidelines carefully to stay on track.

Always Prioritise Safety

Your health is our top priority. Please:

  • Speak to your doctor or health professional before starting a Very Low Calorie Diet
  • Have your blood pressure checked regularly
  • Schedule check ups to ensure you feel well during the plan

We want you to feel fully supported, safe and in control at every step.

How Long Can You Follow a Very Low Calorie Diet?

You can safely follow this diet for up to twelve weeks continuously. After this period, it is essential to take a break of at least two weeks to increase your calorie intake gently. This pause helps your body rest and maintain its functions well. After your break, you can return to the plan and continue until you reach your goal.

Keep Hydrated

Water is one of your best friends on this journey. It helps to:

  • Support digestion
  • Maintain your energy levels
  • Reduce random cravings

Aim to drink between two and a half to four litres of water daily. Sip it steadily rather than drinking large amounts all at once. Avoid drinking more than 500 millilitres at one time or one litre per hour. There is no need to rush; just keep your fluids flowing.

By following The New You Plan correctly — eating the right number of packs, staying hydrated, and prioritising your wellbeing — you can feel confident that your body is fully supported as you lose weight. Safe, balanced, and nutritionally complete, our plan is designed not just for results on the scales, but for better energy, health, and confidence every day.

This is just the beginning of our Q&A Series with Joanne. In Part 2, we’ll explore another key question: how to smoothly transition from meal replacements back to conventional food without losing your progress. Stay tuned — you won’t want to miss it!
