I wrote this poem about my own personal weightloss journey with The New You Plan. I hope you enjoy it!!

My Journey

I made the decision to take back my life

Needed to do it for me and to be the best mother and wife

I had let my weight get out of hand

Felt so unhappy that I had buried my head in the sand

I avoided cameras, hated looking at me

I was the biggest one in my family

At social occasions I put on an act

But behind the smile my emotions weren’t in tact

Why did I use food as such a crutch?

I knew I didn’t need to eat so much

But in the moment it helped me forget

But it fixed nothing only made me regret

My weight was the highest it had ever been

No matter how I tried to cover up it was plain to be seen

So Jan 2012 I decided enough was enough

Stumbled across TheNewYouPlan and looked it up

I had mixed emotions, as I had failed with other plans in the past

What if I couldn’t do this, what if I couldn’t last?

I decided I owed it to myself to give it a go

So I ordered my bundle and was ready to roll

I started my journey on 16^th Jan

With hope in my heart and great support from the plan

All the yummy products really surprised me

Can we really have these things on a diet? How can it be?

The support on Secret Slimmers blew me away

It was great to share my journey with others every day

Week 1 passed so fast, 11lbs banished!!

Couldn’t believe it, all my doubts had vanished

I just knew this was the diet for me

With this plan I could get to the weight I longed to be

So I gave it my all, knew this was my time

I had my brothers wedding in August and wanted to shine

So August came and I weighed 6 stone less

I looked and felt great in my size small dress

It was an amazing day and I`m so proud of the pics

Thank god I finally took control of this

Now 6 months on I am maintaining with ease

I`ve totally changed from who I used to be

I`ve traded paranoia for content, sadness for joy

I`m healthier and I have more energy for my little girl & boy

New You has helped me turn my life around

If I hadn’t started this journey I`d hate to see what weight id be now!
