I am stuck! I can’t break through the next stone barrier. Please Help!
Do you ever feel that the next stone bracket is totally elusive? That you have a mental block that is stopping you from getting to where you truly want to be??
I was speaking with someone last night and they told me they are stuck, they can’t break through a certain weight. Then this morning I checked our Secret Slimmers and seen someone posted a similar post, that they have lost 4 stone, and want to lose another 2 stone, but they just can’t break a certain stone barrier.
I think this happens to a lot of people!
We all want to weigh X stones. We know we will look so good at this weight, we will feel comfortable (and feel freaking amazing) in anything we wear, our confidence will be sky high, our skin will be glowing and we will be the picture of health, totally glowing inside and out. We know this, and we want to be X stones so that we can experience all the lovely emotions and feelings of achievement that comes with it.
BUT. There is something stopping us. Something inside our head’s that always seems to put the breaks on and stops us from crossing over to the other side!
Sometimes this can be some emotional attachment to our weight, maybe getting into that stone bracket means something BIG to us and we are afraid we are not ready for it yet. Maybe it is a memory from the past that is holding us back, or something that somebody said about our weight.
Whatever the reason, we have to realise that there is no reason good enough to stop us from being the healthy weight we want and deserve to be.
We have to get clear on what we want for ourselves, our weight, our health, our family, our partners. Who do we REALLY want to be?? How do we REALLY want to feel? What do we REALLY want to be wearing?
Why settle for less than what we REALLY want, because we have some crazy thought in our head that is holding us back?
If you want to break through a stone barrier, then take a deep breath and get super focused on the simple daily disciplines that will get you to where you need to be.
FORGET THE SCALES. FORGET YOUR WEIGHT. FOCUS ON MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICES AND ACTIONS EVERY DAY to get you to where you want and need to be.
Sometimes we need to face up to our fears and just realise that there is no better time to break through this than NOW.
It is time to take control back. To be calm, centred, focused, and feel totally in control of where we are going.
When we REALLY want something we will find a way, when we don’t we will find an excuse.
Be aware of looking for excuses to hold yourself back. Ask yourself WHY would you want to be looking for an excuse to stop yourself from getting to a healthy weight that you will know you will be happier and healthier at when you achieve it. Why would you want to delay that feeling?
Anything that holds you back is not taking you to where you want to be. The more willpower you demonstrate the easier it gets and the stronger you become. Self esteem comes from being self disciplined. It is a vicious circle, and once we realise how to break it, we will feel empowered.
Spring is in the air, only 5 weeks to Spring comes and with weddings, holidays, communions and family get together’s on the calendar many of us want to be a certain weight so that we can look and feel good for these occasions.
Every time you feel you are holding yourself back you need to change your focus to positive motivation.
We can only think of one thing at a time.
Make sure when you are thinking about your weight loss that you control your thoughts to focus only on positive empowering thoughts that will take you to where you want to be.
If you have a dress, jeans, or jacket that you want to wear for a special occasion – put it somewhere you can see it. Look at it, try it on. Imagine yourself wearing it and looking great in it.
Just take this day at a time, and if you are STUCK, be determined to break through it. Be determined to not be held back by the past and negative emotions. Once you break through this barrier you will really find your new you. Dig deep and make it happen. Enjoy the journey and feel empowered, feel in control and believe in yourself and in your dreams.
