Week 1 New You January 1 – 7th

*Results may vary. This is not a guarantee.

Hi all, hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.!!

I started back on the TFR on Jan 1st. I chose this date because mentally this for me was a good day to start with the first day of the year. And I must say that I am thrilled to be back on the plan once again.
I started off quite well actually, and found that by using the hot products to start with for my week 1 was a good way for me to ease myself back onto the plan. I normally switch after the first week or so to shakes mainly and soups but for week 1 I have the porridge for breakfast and a veg soup for lunch. Dinner I can add two products together to bulk up the volume as this helps me mentally feel I am still eating a lot. Or have your four products as you wish.

Then when feeling peckish I have my broth. In the first few days you can feel hungry as you are changing your eating plan totally and you may not have much energy at first as your body is detoxing and letting go of all the toxins. So be kind to yourself. Drink your water quota, up to 4 litres per day along with your hot product meals and this should see you through the first week. Also if you are really hungry go ahead and have an extra product, at least this keeps you on the plan and you are less likely to weaken and it keeps you in ketosis.

 My Challenges this week:

I got ill this week with a neck injury. A possible slipped disc. I am still sick with it and off work until next Monday. Normally I would use this as an excuse to give up, like ‘oh well now I have a neck problem so I have to go off my plan, this is so annoying’ blah blah blah, So instead of using any excuse just to go off my plan and goal I have kept going with the thought that, ok I am not feeling great, but wouldn’t it be worse if I self sabotaged my diet plan too??? So stick with it whatever happens in your daily day to day, cause you will only feel worse giving up on yourself too along with your problem.

TFR Tips for the week:

1. Clear away all food temptations from the kitchen. This is a good way to ‘set yourself up’ before you start. I had a total sweep of all the foods not on the plan.
2. If possible ask your partner/kids if they can eat their meals out/ or eat in another room for the first week at least. This is an excellent way to keep you on track as you won’t ‘smell’ any food cooking that you cannot have. If the family are supportive they should not object.
3. Create a nice ‘space’ for all your products that you alone can access. Please see my products pictured here in my drawer cabinet.

4. Know what events are coming up with your calendar week so you can be always ready and prepared
5. Create a vision board to keep you focused with all your dreams and goals for 2015 and put it in a place that is visible at all times so you can keep it in your mind. Please see my vision board here that I did for my 2015.

Thought for the week:

A great tool to help with any goal is to visualise yourself at your end goal at the beginning of your journey. So for example if you wish to be 8 stone and wearing a fab pair of jeans, then ‘SEE’ yourself NOW wearing those jeans at that weight. So start off with your end result. A great tool that works every time.

So guy’s n dolls see you all next week and hope we all have a positive great week on the New You plan. Good Luck every one.
