Break the Cycle of Being Stuck in a Rut

Do you ever feel like you’re just stuck in a cycle —always putting yourself last?

Like, even though you know you should be making time for yourself, even though you want to… you just can’t seem to break the loop?

Maybe life has demanded so much from you that sacrificing your own needs just became the norm. Maybe it was a season where you had no choice but to put others first.

But now, that season has passed… and yet, it still feels so hard to put yourself first.

I’ve been feeling a bit like this lately – I am a solo parent, dealing with a lot of stress on my own, and running a business, I feel like I am always busy – but I know I need to take control and get some balance back into my life. It is time for a new season!

Have you ever felt like this? Maybe you are feeling it at the moment too!

You know it’s time to start prioritising YOU.

You know you deserve to feel good in your body, to feel energised, to take up space, to thrive.

But actually doing it? That’s the hard part.

💡 But here’s the truth:

If you don’t break the cycle, another week, another month, even another year will pass—and you’ll still be waiting for the ‘right time.’

So, let’s make THIS the week you start.

Not by making huge, overwhelming changes. Just small steps.

✨ One choice at a time.
✨ One meal at a time.
✨ One walk at a time.
✨ One moment of saying “I matter too.”

The little things—they are easy to do, but also easy to put off. But every time you choose YOU, you’re rewiring that old loop.

REMEMBER – “Nothing changes, if nothing changes!”

The only person who can make the changes is YOU.

So here’s my challenge for you this week:

✅ Start your day by putting YOU first – whatever you normally do – DON’T DO THAT – start immediately when you wake up to let your mind know – “this week we are changing things up and putting ME first!”
✅ Stick to your 4 packs & 4 litres— or follow our switch plan to meet your needs.
✅ Move your body—not as punishment, but as a celebration of what it can do.
✅ Set one small boundary—because your time, energy, and health matter.

It’s time to stop waiting. This is the week you start showing up for YOU.

Leave a comment below and let me know what ONE thing you’re going to commit to this week to put yourself first. 💖

You’ve got this, and I’m cheering you on, let’s do this together! xxx

New season, New You! Let’s go! x

Much love,
Julz xox

your words ring so true. husband in hospital, daughter with MS. running around after them, no time to look after myself. from today I am making time for myself. NY plan helps so much, I didn’t have enough time to cook healthy meals so would pick up a sandwich during the day or a take away at night. On this plan I don’t have to worry about having a nutritional meal. Quick to prepare and can take them with me. Also I am going to make sure I have some down time.

        Hi Lesley,
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It sounds like you have so much on your plate, and I truly admire your strength and dedication to your family. But I’m so glad to hear that you’re now making time for yourself—you absolutely deserve it! 💜

The New You Plan really does make life easier when things are hectic, and it’s wonderful that it’s giving you one less thing to worry about. Prioritising your own well-being isn’t just important for you but also for those who rely on you.

I hope you find those little moments of down time to recharge. If you ever need support or just someone to chat with, I’m here for you.

Take care and be kind to yourself. 💕

      Thank you Jules!
It is reassuring to know that you still struggle too!
I have had one holiday/ social outing /celebration after another which is what gets in the way for me as I love occasions and being with people!
I will be prioritising my New You plan again from today! I have a knee replacement surgery any week now and unless I lose weight they won’t be doing it.
Best wishes to you and thank you for your kind reminders to look after ourselves.
      Love Linda

        Dear Linda,

Thank you for your lovely message! It really is reassuring to know we’re all in this together—life has a way of throwing challenges (and celebrations!) our way, doesn’t it? I completely understand how difficult it can be to stay on track when you love social occasions. But the most important thing is that you’re refocusing now, and that’s what truly matters!

Your upcoming knee replacement is such a big motivation, and I know you can do this. Prioritising your New You Plan now will not only help with your surgery but also make you feel stronger and more in control along the way. You’ve got this, and I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!

Wishing you all the best, and please keep us posted on how you’re doing. 💜
        The New You Team x
