What to do after a blip
In our community when someone eats something off plan that wasn’t planned for we call it a “blip”.
We all want to be 100% on plan, but life doesn’t always happen that way. If something comes up and you come off plan here is what to do;
- Don’t delay getting back on track! The faster you get back on track the better.
- Drink plenty of water. Sip, Sip, Sip! One of our customers advised someone in our community to imagine the water was melting away the blip.
- Don’t beat yourself up! The worst thing you can do is get down on yourself. Let your words build yourself up, speak kindly to yourself and encourage yourself to continue with your dreams.
- Take time to self reflect and learn. Did something happen that triggered you to blip? Was it emotional? Was it stress? Was it comfort? Was it tiredness? Was it Lack of planning? If it was one of these reasons then think ahead how you can prevent it from happening again.
- Don’t let the scales derail you! If you eat carbs you can gain as much as 5-10 pounds of water weight in one day. Crazy!! But it is so important that you realise this is NOT FAT. This is water weight and glycogen and if you get back on track it will be gone in 1-2 days.
