The Emotions of My Weight Loss Journey have covered every high and every low!  I am approaching the 9 stone bracket now and am feeling the emotions of getting back to a weight that I know I feel “myself” at, the last time I was 9 stone something was on my wedding day in 2010, 5 years ago.

weddingdayfaceOften when we think back to the past, and the journey we have been on in life, it can feel emotional.

The people, events, and circumstances that have brought us both pleasure and pain. Sometimes we wonder how we got through it all eh? We have been through so much, and here we are still standing!

On my last weigh in day I was 10 stone 2 pounds… and I had a rush of emotions about the thought of getting into the 9 stone bracket. I am very close.

The last time I was in the 9 stone bracket was when I got married in 2010, the heaviest I have been since then is 17 stone 10, and with 2 painful pregnancies and 2 broken ankles, I have spent a lot of the last 5 years or so not really feeling “myself”.

It is going to be amazing to get BACK TO MY OLD WEIGHT, and to feel happy and healthy again! But I am going to be a completely different person when I get back to the 9 stone bracket, I am much stronger and wiser now!

I think I will probably shed a wee tear when I achieve getting back into the 9 stone bracket. I will be overwhelmed with the emotions of overcoming all the struggles, the pain, and the glory of my weight loss journey.

memimisummer14Weight Loss is an emotional journey, it takes courage, strength, resilience, willpower, self-belief, and we have to dig deep every single day, but it is the most rewarding and fulfilling journey to be on.

I don’t know how you are feeling right now…. but I am pretty sure that whatever you are feeling I have felt that too at some point. I have felt every emotion that weight gain and weight loss brings! From the lows of feeling overwhelmed and hopeless, to the highs of feeling unstoppable and focused!

It is a journey, a life changing amazing journey! There is no “real destination” because even when we get to our target healthy weight, a new journey of even more commitment begins when we start maintenance.

Where ever you are on your journey; be proud of how far you have come, and have faith in how far you can go!

You can get back to your “old weight” and when you get back there, you will be a New You, an ever better version of yourself, stronger, wiser and more centered. Yes you might have a few scars from your journey, but all good warriors do! 😉
