Can you feel it? That tiny bit of warmth in the air? The days are becoming longer and lighter which can only mean one thing… Summer is on its way!

Yay!… said no one ever, when they have been putting off creating their Summer body whilst being clad for 4 months in 16 layers and thermal leggings. 

We have all heard of the phrase ‘Summer Bodies Are Made in Winter’ yada yada yada, – if you are a New You Plan customer there’s great news; you can skip a season!

Yes, you heard us right.

Due to the amazing effectiveness of our plan, you could create a fabulous summer body in the next 2-3 months.

There are 2 success strategies we would like to share with you, which will help make this happen. 

Success Strategy 1 

Create a date to aim towards and START

The first thing you have to do is start. You see, we are a bit of a victim of our own success here at The New You Plan. Due to the incredible and fast results experienced by our customers, people think they have time. 

Who hasn’t looked at the date of an important event that they would like to lose weight for, then worked their way back through the calendar, taking off a stone for each month (our average weight loss) and then thought ‘I have plenty of time’.  Only to be sitting a few weeks before said event, wrapped in Clingfilm and Googling ‘how to lose 4 stone in 2 weeks’. Not just us then ☺ 

It’s important to create a sense of urgency (think tax returns, school admission forms and emergency waxing before a hot date) as it focuses the mind.

Now, think of an event you will be attending this summer. Your BIG DAY OUT. It could be a wedding, a party or a work function. If you don’t have an event to go to… schedule one! A day out with friends is always a good place to start.

Great now you have a date. Let’s move on to Step 2.

Success Strategy 2

Visualisation 

This is where the magic happens! You’ve got to see it to believe it. Visualisation is the process of seeing images in your mind. It is a meditative technique used by athletes, celebrities, and people like us to relax, improve performance, and achieve personal and career goals.

Visualisation is brilliantly effective when it comes to your weight loss goals. 

All you have to do is see yourself, in your perfect outfit, looking fabulous, at your event this summer. 

Let us show you how easy it is.

Close your eyes and picture your kitchen.

See the colour of the cupboards, your kitchen sink and where you keep your kettle.

Got it?

Good.

You have visualised! Let’s supercharge it. 

This time, picture yourself going into your kitchen, lifting the kettle and filling it at your kitchen sink.

You can feel the weight of the kettle in your hand and the coldness of the tap as you run the water.

You can hear the kettle filling up, you see the switch illuminate red as your turn it on to boil and see the steam coming out of the spout a few minutes later. 

There is a major difference in these two visualizations. In the first, you are simply seeing a snapshot – a still picture.

In the second visualisation you are moving around, hearing and feeling everything that was happening. You have created a mini movie in your mind and more importantly, you have created a personal connection to the vision. 

Let’s try it with your event this summer.

Firstly, picture your event.

Where are you going? Who will be there? Next, imagine yourself walking into the event with your head held high, confident that you look amazing. What are you wearing? Picture the colour of your outfit and the feel of it against your body. How have you styled your hair? Are you wearing fragrance? What does it smell like? Is the sun shining? Picture people coming up to at the event and complimenting you on how well you look. How does that make you feel?

Include as many details in this visualisation as you can. Focusing in on these little details can help make your visualisation sessions much more realistic and therefore much more powerful. Try to make the vision so real and strong that you feel as if you are truly there, experiencing it right now. 

You can recall your vision several times a day, the more you do it, the more powerful you will be in creating the reality.

Find pictures of your perfect outfit and save them to your phone. Do the same with make up looks and hair styles.  You need to love it, breathe it and live it to bring your visualisation to life. 

You are going to look and feel amazing.
