Best Confidence Transformation: Victoria Lost 4st 3lbs* & Won £1000 Cash In Our Transformation Challenge

Meet Victoria, one of our July/August Transformation Challenge Runners Up. She has lost 4st 3lbs, swapped pain and low energy for confidence and freedom, and walked away with a £1,000 cash prize.
After one of the hardest years of her life, Victoria found the strength to take control of her health. She started The New You Plan in October and, pack by pack, transformed her body, confidence, and outlook on life. Dropping 4st 3lbs and rediscovering her spark, she was named Runner-Up in the July/August Transformation Challenge – and walked away with a £1,000 cash prize.
In this inspiring interview with New You Plan Founder, Julie-Ann, Victoria shares the real journey behind her transformation – from grief and self-doubt to energy, festivals, and 5K races.
The Wake-Up Call: From Grief to Getting Started
Julie-Ann: Can you take us back to life before New You? What made you start?
Victoria: I actually bought the plan in June or July, but didn’t start until the 1st of October. Last year I lost 3 close family members. Looking back at photos from my father-in-law’s 80th and later his funeral, I was disgusted with myself. I realised I’d been eating my emotions. That’s when I remembered the box of packs in the cupboard and decided it was time.

Week One: “Day 5 Was the Switch”
Julie-Ann: How did you find the first week on plan?
Victoria: The first couple of days were okay, but by Day 4 I was really hungry. I stuck to drinking plenty of water and my packs. Then on Day 5 something switched — the hunger was gone, the energy was back, and I felt amazing. I even started having my Chocolate Shakes warm with a shot of coffee, which I loved.
Julie-Ann: How much weight did you lose in that first week?
Victoria: I lost around 7-8lbs in the first week. It was a big number and it definitely kept me motivated. It was exciting to see such a big loss after just 7 days on plan.
A Christmas to Remember: Into the 12s & a Dream Red Coat

Julie-Ann: How did Christmas feel after those first few months on plan?
Victoria: By Christmas I got down to 12st 13lbs — that was my goal. I even fit into my daughter’s jeans. My husband bought me a designer red coat I’d always dreamed of. Before, I’d never have let him spend that money because I didn’t feel worth it. Wearing it on Christmas Day felt incredible.
From Avoiding Life to Saying Yes Again
Julie-Ann: What about your social life — how has that changed?
Victoria: Before, I made excuses not to go out – even blaming my dog Juno as my reason not to go. Now, I look for reasons to go out. This year has been festivals, birthdays, and events with friends. When needed, I use Switch days so I can join in at BBQs with protein and veg while staying in control. I can enjoy myself and go back on plan when I need to.
Health Wins: Pain Gone, Energy Up

Julie-Ann: And what about your health? Has it improved?
Victoria: The changes have been huge. I used to suffer from plantar fasciitis, sore knees, back pain, and sciatica. They’ve all gone. Losing the weight has completely changed how my body feels.
The Simple System That Works

Julie-Ann: What does your daily routine look like now?
Victoria: Every morning I lay out my 4 packs for the day on the counter. That’s it – no temptation, no decision fatigue. I walk Juno about 3 miles a day. I tried Aqua Fit (not for me!) but I want to add weights. The goal now is to introduce more exercise and tone up. I’m excited about that!
Favourite Packs & Ninja CREAMi Creations
Julie-Ann: What are your go to products on plan?
Victoria: My winter staple is warm Chocolate Shakes with a spoonful coffee. I never drank coffee until this plan and now I love it in my Shakes! I also love the Berry and Vanilla Porridges, Chicken Soup (which I sometimes double up on for dinner), Thai Soup with the Spicy Sour Cream Crisps, and of course the Coconut & White Chocolate Shake in my Ninja CREAMi — it turns into a massive bowl of ice cream. I also bake Chocolate Brownies with the Caramel Muesli, which makes 8 little cakes.
The Power of Community
Julie-Ann: Has the Secret Slimmers community made a difference?
Victoria: Absolutely. They’re constant cheerleaders. If you have a question about packs, need motivation, or feel like giving up, there’s always someone to help. Seeing people losing 10 stone or more is so inspiring. It’s so motivating seeing other people’s life changing results.
Entering the Challenge: From Bleach-Stained Tee to Pink Dress Cruise Photo

Julie-Ann: Tell us about entering the Challenge.
Victoria: My “I’M IN” photo was awful! I was wearing a bleach-stained t-shirt and a miserable expression, which is a reflection of how I was feeling at the time. I had stopped caring about my appearance. On my August birthday cruise, I filled out the entry form over and over but deleted it. My husband finally took a photo of me in a pink dress and said, “Send it.” I thought, “It’s only 4 stone, no one cares.” I’m so glad I did.
Julie-Ann: How did it feel to find out you’d won?
Victoria: At first I ignored the call – I didn’t recognise the number. When I realised it was New You, I rang back. Hearing I was a runner-up left me shocked and proud. My husband thought I’d just won points for food! I’ve loved the Diet For Free programme – those rewards along the way feel like a real pat on the back.
New Adventures: Pretty Muddy & Couch to 5K

Julie-Ann: What new things have you tried since losing the weight?
Victoria: This year I completed the Pretty Muddy Race for Life – and loved it so much I wanted to go round again. Next year I’m doing at least three more (Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Wiltshire). I even started Couch to 5K, which I never thought I’d do. The mindset shift is massive. I love exercising now!

Looking Ahead: 2 More Stone, More Strength
Julie-Ann: What’s next for you?
Victoria: I’d like to lose another 2 stone, depending on how I feel in my clothes. I want to tone up, build strength, and keep saying yes to life.
Victoria’s Advice
Julie-Ann: Finally, what advice would you give to someone thinking of starting?
Victoria:
- Push through Days 3–5 – it gets easier and the energy comes.
- Keep it simple – four packs a day, drink your water.
- If you blip, bounce back – don’t let one bad day spiral.
- Trust the process – it works.
- Give it two weeks – you’ll be surprised how quickly you feel better.
