After years of battling anxiety, low energy, and the impact of weight on her everyday life, Rebecca decided it was time to make a change – not just for herself, but for her children and future. Fast forward 35 weeks, and she’s now 8st 2lbs lighter, full of energy, and embracing life like never before. Her unwavering determination and consistent effort earned her the “All In, All Out: Best Commitment Transformation” award in our March/April Transformation Challenge – and it’s easy to see why. Here, Rebecca shares her inspiring story of mindset shifts, mum motivation, and a whole new lifestyle.

Getting Started: Why Rebecca Took the Leap

Emma: How much weight have you lost and what is your overall goal?

Rebecca: So far, I’ve lost 8st 2lbs. I don’t actually have a set goal weight – it’s more about how I feel in my clothes and the size I want to be. I’ve kind of got it in my head that I’d like to be a size 12, and I’ll know when I feel comfortable. I project maybe another 2st or a little more before I move on to Switch and take it from there.

Emma: What led you to start the plan, and how were you feeling when you began?

Rebecca: It was a combination of things – my health, anxiety, and the limitations my weight put on my life. I wanted to be more active with my kids, go on long walks, do things without discomfort. I was feeling held back, and I knew I needed to do something – not just for me, but for my children and my partner. Now, people say I’ve got a spring in my step, and it really is true. Everything’s easier now.

Winning Mindset: A Well-Deserved Recognition

Emma: How did you feel when you found out you were a Transformation Challenge winner?

Rebecca: Oh gosh, it was amazing – I can’t even put it into words. To be recognised for the changes I’ve made, not just physically but mentally and emotionally, felt incredible. I’ve failed with other diets so many times, but this showed me – and others – that it is possible. If I can do it, anyone can. It just takes that determination.

Emma: How did your first week go on the plan?

Rebecca: The first week was very focused – I really wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. By the second week, it got tougher. Cooking for the kids was hard; being a mum and still preparing meals for everyone else was challenging. But the range of New You products helped me stay on track. I kept switching things up and found little ways to keep it fresh. I stayed hydrated and got creative with my packs. Now, 35 weeks in, it feels totally normal – it’s just my routine.

Life-Changing Benefits: Inside & Out

Emma: How has your life changed so far?

Rebecca: There’s been so many changes. I go walking and cycling with my kids, I’m swimming, I feel better in myself. My health has improved, my skin and hair feel better, and I have so much more energy. But the biggest thing? My anxiety is nearly gone. I can go out on my own now, do things with the kids, and just feel more in control. That was a huge part of my motivation.

Emma: What age are your children?

Rebecca: I’ve got four boys! My eldest is almost 16 and the youngest is 7, so they definitely keep me busy – and they’ve been a big motivator in all of this. I needed to be able to keep up with them.

On the Go: Favourite Products That Helped

Emma: Do you have a favourite product or snack on plan?

Rebecca: Definitely the bars – especially the Mint Chocolate Meal Replacement Bar. If we’re out walking, I always take one with me. I love all the bars, really. And the Carbonara Pot is my absolute favourite, especially when we’re on holiday. They’re perfect for on-the-go, just hot water and that’s it. Sometimes you just don’t want something sweet, so they’re a great savoury option.

Lessons Learned & New Habits Formed

Emma: What has the plan taught you so far?

Rebecca: It’s taught me so much. Before, I hardly drank water – maybe one glass a day. Now I drink loads and feel more alive and alert. My old habit was to skip food all day, then eat junk at night. Now I’ve learned to space my meals throughout the day – have a bar or shake in the morning, something for lunch and dinner. It’s helped me build a healthy routine and reshape my relationship with food.

Emma: That’s amazing! Do you feel like it’s changed more than just the number on the scales?

Rebecca: Absolutely. Weight loss is only part of it. It’s about learning to manage your relationship with food, your lifestyle, and your mindset. That’s what this plan has helped me with – it’s not just a diet, it’s a whole lifestyle shift.

Looking Ahead: Goals, Holidays & Confidence

Emma: What are you most looking forward to when you reach your overall goal?

Rebecca: We’re going on holiday in August to Tattershall Lakes, and I’d love to be able to wear nice summer clothes – pretty dresses instead of always dressing in black to hide myself. I want to feel confident, be myself, and enjoy the summer with my family.

Emma: Have you received any memorable compliments since losing the weight?

Rebecca: Not so much a comment – but my favourite moment has been when my seven-year-old could hug me all the way around. That full hug squeeze… it meant everything. It was such a lovely moment.

Emma: What’s your proudest non-scale victory so far?

Rebecca: Aside from that hug, being able to go shopping on the high street and find clothes that fit me – knowing I don’t have to worry if something’s going to suit my body or not – is a huge achievement. And yes, the clothes are nicer too!

Rebecca’s Final Advice

Emma: If you could go back to when you started, what advice would you give yourself?

Rebecca: I’d tell myself to have more confidence – in myself, in the plan, in my ability to do this. I’d had so many setbacks on other diets, but this time, I believed in myself. I wish I’d believed a little sooner, but I got there – and that’s what matters.
