“Success is a few simple disciplines practiced everyday, while failure is simply a few errors of judgement repeated everyday.” Jim Rohn

I love this quote by Jim Rohn. It makes me realise how easy it is to become both a success and a failure. It all comes down to the simple things we do everyday.

One of the best things about total food replacement is that it gives you time to focus on your habits as you don’t have to worry about counting calories.

You can use your weight loss stage of your transformation to build in the healthy habits that will support you when it comes to maintenance. Then when you get to maintenance you have a solid foundation and a healthy active lifestyle, so that you can put all your focus into mastering your nutrition.

Tracking your habits is a great way to stay focused everyday.

I use an app called Way Of Life to track all my habits everyday. I have been doing this consistently every day from last summer.

If you use an app you can see graphs to show your trend. Remember you don’t have to be perfect, habits take time to build, but if you keep aiming to be a little bit better than last week then you will see an upward trend!

Here are 4 key habits you need to focus on;

  1. Movement – Getting over 8000 steps, and ideally 10,000 steps a day is crucial for your long term health and mobility.
  2. Sleep – 7-9 hours sleep is crucial for your health and wellbeing.
  3. Hydration – drinking 3-4 litres of water a day will keep your body functioning in a healthy state and help you to lose and maintain your weight.
  4. Self care – making your self care a priority, so that you look and feel your best everyday is important for you physical, mental & emotional health.

“We first make our habits, then our habits make us.”

What habits do you need to focus on to improve your health, happiness and chances at maintenance?

Decide what habits you want to build into your life, and track them everyday. The more you track them the more easier it will be for you to do them. When you complete your habits your self esteem will be boosted and you will feel great!

The effects of healthy habits are felt almost immediately. Just having the willpower and self discipline to follow through on what you said you were going to do, builds your confidence in all areas of your life!

You will also start to feel better and notice the improvements in your health quite soon.

Imagine if you could do these habits everyday for 5, 10, 20 years?

How much better do you think your life will be if you could build these healthy habits into your life and maintain your weight loss for the next 10 years.

If you want to change your life, change your habits!
