If they can do it, I can do it ~ The Inspiration of Team NY
Team GB is killing it with the Gold Medals in the London 2012 Olympics, but Team New You is where all the Gold is happening for me right now!
I was watching an interview of Lara Trott who has just won 2 Gold Medals and she said that when Team GB started to win some Gold Medals everyone started to think and say “If they can do it, I can do it.
Being part of a winning team is one of the most positive and amazing experience you can have.
Finding a winning team can be hard though, but when you become part of a community of people who are all striving for a common goal, and everyone wants everyone else to succeed, and everyone celebrates everyone’s success… that is a very special and unique place.
When you can see people that you know do well, you really do say to yourself, “If they can do it, I can do it!”
This is when the magic happens!
Team NY or Team New You is just like this.
We are a group of people, all going for our own unique goal, all on our own unique journey, but we are all going for Gold, we all want the same thing, and we all want everyone else to do well.
When we see someone do really well, and posting their weight loss results, their transformation photographs, and sharing funny stories of meeting ex partners and their jaws hitting the floor, we all have a giggle and we all think to ourselves, “If they can do it, I can do it.”
We all give eachother hope, belief, and inspiration.
We all support eachother and cheer eachother on.
We all know that it is hard, that there are times when this diet takes every ounce of your determination and willpower.
But we all know that feeling of getting into a smaller size of jeans, or zipping up that size 12 dress, or going out and feeling GOOD – these moments, are our gold medals, these moments are what makes this journey all so worth it.
And as each one of us, realises and shares our success, it is giving a light to everyone else, sparking someone else’s desire and self belief that they too can do it, making someone else realise “If they can do it, I can do it.”
I think it is really important for all of us to show other people what we have achieved, yes we might spark jealously in some people, but we might also make one other person think, wow… I think I could do that too. You could be the one that inspires someone to lose weight, and be healthy and get active, the knock on affect of that could be amazing… imagine, they could find love, have children, live longer, live better, change the world… all because you inspired them with your story.
In the last few days we have some people who have posted their weight loss transformation photos, and to say these are inspirational is an understatement, I will have to ask their permission before I share them with you, but seriously they are just breath taking, what you can achieve in 6 weeks is unbelievable, what you can achieve in 1 year is outstanding. And when people share their photos… it sparks this feeling inside every member of the group… “If they can do it, I can do it!”
When you get to know someone, and you see their transformation photos, it means a lot more than when you do not know the person (if you know what I mean!) Like Nicola who is a lovely member of our group and although she is at her goal, she always pops in and says hi and encourages everyone. But when Nicola can post her photos and you can see her transformation, it just inspires so many people.
This is why people part of team is so important to help you with your weight loss journey, you will get constant positive affirmations that you can achieve your goals, you will see people do it, you will talk to people who are doing, who have done it, it will become what you expect, not what you fear.
Every time I log into Facebook I have to go and check out our Secret Slimmers group we have almost 400 members now and the posts of positivity just stream down the group. Everyone is cheering eachother on, there are people at every stage of the weight loss journey, some are on week one, some on month three, everyone shares their experiences, and their success, and the people who have achieved results inspire all the new people, but what I LOVE the most, is that the new people in 6 weeks time will be the people who are inspiring other people.
After people get to their goal then they become active in our Momentum Maintainers group where they share their tips for refeed and healthy eating and living, some of the maintainers are really into the C25k – Couch to 5k running for newbies and they are doing really good at that. We also get people posting pictures of their meals, which I LOVE to see, and everyone can share tips and inspire everyone else to maintain. When other people can see that other people are maintaining after total food replacement it makes them say, wow “If they can do it, I can do it.”
So get yourself in our team. It is special and unique, and it will help you and inspire you to reach your goals, and even better it will give you the opportunity to inspire and help others when you do reach your goal!

Hi guys, I forgot to share my last weigh in with you, I lost 4lb, which I’m very happy with as seemed to be bit stuck but it looks like it’s moving again, so I’m happy. Just done up my size 16 jeans, tight but almost ok, nearly there and then is for the size 14, started at 22. Hope everyone is having a great day. xxx 🙂
I’m kept all the weight off n gotten so lean thru the running. Size 12 still- never in my adult life before now n I’m 38!! Life is sweet! Miss u lot but not missing the 47lbs!!!!
Total of 32lbs gone now!
Another 4lb off this week that’s 16lb in total in 2 weeks already feeling the difference in my clothes have started to raid the back of the wardrobe for smaller clothes I refused to throw away I knew I would get into them some day!!
Morning everyone! Today I am 5.5lbs down and starting refeed today. Need to do this on my own now so that I don’t let my weight control my life. Since March 19th I have gone from 19st 10.7lbs and now currently at 14st 8.7lbs. Want the get down to 12st maybe less so will so how I go it alone. I have my diet plate at the ready 🙂
I weighted myself this morning, technically my first weight in should be tomorrow but I got so excited when I saw the scales, I actually woohooed out loud and had to share it with ye, I am down 10 lbs today I am back to lowest weight I have ever been (well besides as a child lol) I currently weight 12 st 8lbs, now that may seen like a lot to some but considering most of my adult life I was nearer the 19st mark, this is a huge achievement for me 🙂 yay woohoo
Morning everyone…So week one over and 1st weigh in this morning reveals 12lbs gone…Soooo Happy with this result, what an amazing product and so far Secret Slimmers has been a great place to come to get support. Here’s to another week and i’ve just ordered my next batch of 50 so i’m def in it to change my life and become a healthier happier me. NO turning back now 🙂
Hi all week 5 weigh in for me and 1 lb lost. I seem to be a bit of a tortoise compared to others as I seem to have levelled out and I’m losing 1 lb per week but it’s OK I’m still losing (and believe me when you’ve tried everything else and nothing works I’m so grateful to be losing). I had my only child 3 months before my 40th birthday and I have not lost my “baby weight” infact 6 years later and it just kept creeping up and up but then after years of searching & trying everything I found The New You Plan and it seems to be working! For the first time I actually believe I can reach my goal and lose 64 lbs ( I’ve lost 18 so far – so 46 lbs to go) I’m so glad I found New You as week by week pound by pound I am inching towards a slimmer & fitter me Thanks NEW YOU xxx with your help I know I can do it.
