“If you have a dream, I want to encourage girls to go ahead and go after it, no matter how big it is, no matter how many people think your dream is unachievable.” – Morolake Akinosun

Five years ago, in 2011, Morolake tweeted:

This year, Morolake is living her dream. Morolake Akinosun is part of the Rio Olympics, living her dream.

In 2009 Julie-Ann Muldoon had a 5 year plan: She dreamed of losing weight. She achieved it. Her next dream was to help other women lose weight just as much as she did.

In 2009, Julz dreamed of creating her own brand of diet meal replacements to reach her dream of seeing other women reach their weight goals just as she did.

“My biggest joy in life is to see someone who is unhappy and unhealthy, overweight and overwhelmed, turn their life and health around, to become healthy, strong, empowered, focused, men and women.”

At Age 34, Julz started The New You Plan. She dreamed to grow it into one of the leading meal replacement companies in the UK. She also dreamed of getting engaged, married, then start her family. She also wanted to move town to live in a house by the sea.

Over five years later, Julie-Ann is now married, with 2 wonderful, adorable children, lives in a house by the sea, and The New You Plan has helped over 26,000 to lose weight. A New You meal is consumed every 20 seconds in the UK and Ireland to date!

To achieve this 5-year goal there was a lot of work involved. There were also a lot of challenges that had to be overcome. Just as Morolake Akinosun related to BuzzFeed, “It wasn’t always easy, and no one knows the work that I put in the five years in between the two tweets. I put in a lot, a lot, a lot of hard work over the course of the five years, and I went after my dream,” The New You Plan’s success wasn’t built overnight. But it was so, so worth it to see the dreams come true.

Today, Julie-Ann has set a new 5-year goal.

How about you? What is your 5 year goal? Where do you want to be in 2021?

  • What type of health and fitness do you want to enjoy?
  • What type of healthy habits do you want ingrained into your daily life?
  • What type of words do you want to use to describe how you feel everyday?
  • What words would you love people to use to describe you?
  • What do you want to do to make the world a better place?
  • What crazy big goals do you want to smash?

Create an exciting vision for your life in the next 5 years.

“Put your health first, the healthier you are the more energy and confidence you will have to achieve your dreams.” – Julz Muldoon
