I started my New You journey roughly end of July start of August!! My friend had told me about her success so I had been mulling over it for a while but the straw that finally broke the camels back was when I had to buy a size 16!!! I was shocked and horrified, I’d always been a 12 but I’d let my weight creep up to size 14 and now I was having to buy 16’s, I put the top down and said no way, this is it!!! I knew if I bought that top it would have been a slippery slope!!

I stood on the scales and they read 13 stone 10!!! I was very embarrassed, so embarrassed that I was too ashamed to take before and after pics or measurements, something I came to later regret!!

It wasn’t easy, those first few days were hell on earth, my body was crying out for carbs and not only carbs but I had a huge diet coke habit too lol my body didn’t know what had hit it lol but I needed to do this for myself and the secret slimmers page became my food in a sense, when I was feeling like I couldn’t go on I read everybody else’s successes and blips and it kept me strong!!

I had aimed for 11 stone but that came and I still didn’t feel right so I set a new goal for 10 stone and I still didn’t feel happy so set my goal for 9 stone and in december I reached my goal, It was an absolutely amazing feeling, if I could bottle it, I would be a millionaire!!! The saying is defo true nothing feels as good as skinny does!! The following day to top it off I won the iPad air from the New You weekly draw I couldn’t believe it!  I had to watch the video a few times to believe it ha ha it made my year!!!

I dropped 4 dress sizes over that period, went from that 16 to a size 8!! I had many planned blips during that period too including a weeks holiday all inclusive in turkey and a weeks holiday in Scotland and weddings and hen parties so taking that all into consideration it was done in a relatively short period of time!!!

What I wanted most from losing weight was my confidence back!! I had lost it over the years!! There are very very few pics of me as I hid behind the camera or if I had to be in pics I’d hide behind other people!! I was always the fat friend… It wasn’t how my friends saw me, it was how I saw myself!! I don’t see or feel like that anymore!!

My health has greatly improved since being on new you, I had serious stomach problems before and was thought to have an irritated ulcer but although it’s not gone, I don’t have any of the symptoms anymore (unless I over indulge)

I also love being able to go into any shop and pick up a size 8 and know it fits me! Never ever been able to do that!!

The support on the secret slimmers page is amazing!! Doesn’t matter what time of night or day it is there is somebody there willing to support you or give advice!!  You can’t buy that!! I know that I wouldn’t have managed my journey without it!!! The staff are always on the page offering advice, support and encouragement, it’s second to none!!!! It really kept me on track.

The advice I’d give to anybody starting out is give it 100%, it’s not easy, it’s not a quick fix but by god it’s worth it!!!  Use the secret slimmers page, it really does make all the difference!! Drink the water, it’s a vital part and it really does make the difference to those losses!! Make sure u have the meal bars and snacks in, as someone with a very sweet tooth I defo wouldn’t have managed without those!!!  Do it now, don’t put it off, I wish I’d done it years ago….

When I was on plan I had soup for breakfast, didn’t like porridge, then a bar for lunch then I doubled up my packets for dinner!! So I felt fuller and didn’t crave in the evenings!! I would also sip all day, either water or water with the flavourings, hot or cold depending on weather!!! I would also try and eat and drink everything by 6pm every evening!!

I followed the new you refeed when I was finished so to minimise weight gain introducing carbs and it worked and now I’m eating carbs every day and still maintaining!!!

I did do some exercise but I felt it slowed down my weight loss so I stopped until I reached goal!!

My favourite products are the bars n snacks and would happily live on them for rest of my life if I could ha ha

I’m off the diet now 3 months and happily maintaining my 9 stone and I’m never going back!! New you maybe a total meal replacement diet and I’ve heard all the same stuff as you about sure you will only pile it all back on once you start eating normal food but it changed my outlook on food!! It broke that lifetime habit of bad eating, I don’t care for takeaways anymore, I think more about making healthy choices and yes I indulge sometimes but I don’t get the same pleasure from it I once did and so do it less and less!!

I hope this helps someone and I want to thank all the guys behind The New You plan and the Secret Slimmers I wouldn’t be here today in my size 8 clothes thinking I’m the bees knees without you all lmao!! Words can’t even convey my appreciation xxx
