Set For Success Sunday
Mid Month Milestone | VLCD plan
This is the Mid-Month Milestone:
It is my hope that you have fallen in love with your body again this Valentines day and for those of you who need that little extra umph to triumph this month I have shared a quote from one of my favourite speakers of all time. Although many of this mans quotes are not suitable to be shared on this website this one is and wow is it powerful:
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
Winston Churchill
This is a message that we push hard here at The New You Plan as Julie Ann herself says that weight loss and happiness are not a destination they are a journey and I personally say that failure is not something to fear. Please do not misunderstand this and think that I am suggesting it is alright to continually break your diet, quite the contrary I advocate that the fear of failure in itself is often a great enough stress to cause a person to not even bother trying and is most certainly going to affect a persons confidence to make a second attempt.
As Julie Ann once said to us in a meeting, you should always remain constructively discontent with your current position and progress. If you are not aiming to improve in today’s performance then you are not aiming to improve period!
How does this relate to our VLCD plan?
1) Build yourself on this diet in the understanding that you are not aiming purely to hit your goal weight. As with any long term solution to a problem that is daunting, accepting that you are making a long term commitment to something better makes each day a little brighter as you can focus on success rather than battling the position you believe yourself to be in.
2) If you have a failed attempt to start or come back to a Very Low Calorie Diet this does not spell overall failure, it just means that progress is going to be slower than anticipated. Your continued commitment to stick with this is what will determine the overall success!
I hope my short reflection on this quote in relation to our VLCD plan has shown you part of my own insights into success on this plan.
