Maxeen’s Interview: A jaw dropping 38 lbs weight loss in 2 and a half months!!!*
*Results may vary. This is not a guarantee.
When Maxeen started her weight loss journey and why:
I started the New You Plan on Monday 7th of July 2014. I was comfort eating over several years after a relationship breakdown and I no longer fitted into any of my clothes, except my work uniform which was bursting at the seams. I was very depressed and my social life disappeared as I wouldn’t go out, except for work.
Maxeen’s weight loss results and realisations:
My starting weight was 13 stone 2lbs. I have lost 2 stone 10lbs to date on the New You Plan. I was a size 16/18 and now wear size 10/12. I wanted my life, confidence and self esteem back, but most of all, I wanted to be happy again and feel comfortable in my clothes. I wanted to learn portion control and stop my bad eating habits. Watching the weight literally “fall off” me in only 10 weeks has made me feel wonderful about myself. I am no longer camera shy. My knees used to hurt but they don’t anymore. I have bags of confidence and energy, and I hold my head high. Everyone is complimenting the new me. I find it easier to find trendy clothes. No more lumps or bumps to hide.
How Maxeen maximised our support:
Without the help and support from everyone at New You and the secret slimmer’s group I am positive I wouldn’t have succeeded in my weight loss journey. I logged in every day and enjoyed reading everyone’s stories. As my confidence grew I started to join in and offer my support. Any questions I had about the plan were answered and everyone is so friendly, it’s a very positive group.
Starting out on the plan? This is what Maxeen would suggest to you:
The advice I would give to anyone who is just starting this plan would be to find out as much as they can about it and what results they should expect from it. Join the secret slimmer’s group. Set yourself mini goals and reward yourself at every milestone. Keep busy, especially in the evenings when you are at your most vulnerable. Drink plenty of water and stay committed 100% to achieve maximum results. Don’t be hard on yourself if you blip, get straight back on it. After all, you are doing this for yourself.
Maxeen’s tips to stay on track:
Being organised and in control of what I eat. I keep all my products in the one cupboard in the kitchen and I don’t even go near the other food cupboards. I have a shelf in the fridge for bottled, tap and sparking water. I space out my products throughout the day not leaving too long a gap between meals. Drinking water and coffee (black) whenever hunger strikes.
Maxeen’s menu plan and routine:
Working as a carer I am up early. Coffee keeps me going till around 11am, then I have my first product. Usually a shake or porridge. I take bottled water everywhere I go and make sure I finish 2x500ml bottles, before 1pm. My second product I have at 3pm. Another shake or a mousse (just less water in a small dish). Third product at 6:30pm. Again I make sure I drink 2x500mls of water throughout the afternoon and early evening. I top up my remaining fluid allowance with coffee and sparkling water, or broth. I have my 4th product at 10pm with a coffee before bed. I have two snacks per week, usually I half these so I can have them over 4 days.
Maxeen’s time on refeed and exercise:
I photo’d the re-feed guide onto my phone so I would have all the information I needed whenever I needed it. I followed the re-feed plan and joined the momentum group. I shopped and bought everything that I would need for re-feed in one go so I wasn’t tempted by other foods. I done 2 products and 2 meals per day (watching my portion sizes). I didn’t do any exercise while on the plan, except walking my dog. I do plan on swimming to tone up and tighten soon though.
Maxeen’s favourite products:
[box type=”tick” size=”large” style=”rounded” border=”full”]My favourite products are mint/choc and banana shakes. I prefer using the strawberry shake to make a mousse.
Meals – Love the cottage pie, spicy noodle nosh and vegetable chilli
Bars – Choc truffa, cookie cream, muesli.
Wafer snacks and BBQ puffs (heaven)!
Broth – Life saver[/box]
Maxeen’s advice to anyone thinking about joining the plan:
My advice would be amazing. Check out the transformation photos and stories on the New You Plan website. These are real people. Very inspirational.
Try the two week bundle to find out what products you like/dislike before ordering larger bundles.
Ask yourself, “do you really want to change your life? or do you prefer to stay miserable and do nothing?”. I know what your answer is.
I found the New You Plan by accident on my newsfeed on Facebook. I had never considered TFR but had tried other weight loss diets and nothing worked for me. I needed a total break from food to change my life. I was very optimistic about doing the plan and I put off getting started for months before I eventually made the commitment and pushed that button “Go to checkout”.
I’m so glad I did and I loved every moment of it.
I look and feel a million times better than I did 10 weeks ago. I recently went on my first date in 3 years and I had a ball. I also had a job interview for an auxiliary nursing post in the hospital (a job I’ve always wanted to do), and I got it. My future is looking great and it’s all thanks to New You.
Thank You Guys xxx
