When you are setting goals it is a good idea to make a contract with yourself to make it easier for you to achieve your goals.

You can make a contract with yourself to lose weight, get in shape, build up your fitness, or any other type of goal.

Here are some tips on what to do to make your contract motivate you to achieve your weight loss and health goals.

1.)  Write out your goal, be specific on what you want to achieve and by what date.  For your free contract to download and print off click here.

2.)  Keep the time limit short – if you have a big goal to lose 5 stone for example, break this down, into smaller goals, so you can write a new contract when you achieve your goal.   For example maybe you could set a goal that you want to lose 7 pounds for a date 2 weeks away.

3.)  Put your contract somewhere where you can see it everyday.  Stick it to your bedroom mirror, wardrobe, or even better stick it on the fridge!!

4.)  Get a witness to sign it also.  Ask a supportive friend, family member, partner to co sign it with you, so they can be your cheerleader and encourage you on the way.

5.)  When your contract expires, review your progress and set new goals and a new contract and repeat the progress.

This is a very effective exercise, the act of printing off the contract, filling it in, signing it, getting a cheerleader to sign it, and putting it somewhere you can see everyday, will help you immensely in achieving your weight loss goals! 🙂
