FAQ: What Can I Drink On New You Plan Diet?

new you plan success storyThe New You Plan recommends you drink a minimum of 2 litres of water per day and try work your way up to 3-4litres. The water really does help speed up the weight loss! You can have still or sparkling water. I NEVER drank water before this plan…but now it’s part of my everyday routine!

Some people wonder how you can fit in time to drink so much water….this is how I worked it –

  • 9am- start 1st litre, have it finished by 12pm
  • 12pm- start 2nd litre, have it finished by 3pm
  • 3pm- start 3rd litre, have it finished by 6pm
  • 6pm- start 4th litre, have it finished by 9pm!

That’s 4 litres done and dusted!!!

waterbottleMake sure you sip throughout the day. I found carrying a 1 litre sport bottle around with me really helped me remember to get my quota!

Some people find that luke warm water is easier to drink so they have it warm on a cold day! Do what works for you!

You can also get the cranberry water flavoring from our website to add to your water which gives it a lovely taste and is fab hot or cold!

blackteaYou can have as much black tea/coffee as you like! If you struggle with drinking it black then a splash of skimmed milk is ok but limit your intake to 4/5 cups per day! You can also have tablet sweeteners!

Other teas you can have are Green tea, Peppermint tea, Feiyan tea (detox tea) basically any leaf tea is ok once there is no flower or fruit added!

We get LOADS of people asking if they can have diet drinks….short answer- NO! They contain citric acid which would knock you out of ketosis! I really do think it’s a good thing to get those diet drinks out of your system anyway as they are so bad for us and highly addictive!!

A little tip I have is try the cranberry water flavoring with sparkling water!!! It’s lovely and refreshing and will keep you in ketosis!

Now the BIG question….can you have alcohol?

It’s a def  no no!!! Ok so how I handled this was – I planned out in advance what BIG events I had coming up in the following months…I then scheduled a weeks break for those events! Now it was 3 breaks in the 6 months but as I said it was for BIG events, my birthday, my brothers wedding and my sister moving away! Any other night out I had in between I stuck to the plan and had sparkling water! It’s actually way easier than you think and no hangover the next day!!! Yaay!
