11 Reasons You Should Start Your Diet In November 2011

Do you think it is too late to start your diet in 2011?

We are having a November weight loss challenge here at New You Diet, with new registrations everyday people are committed to losing weight this month!

It is common trick that we play on ourselves all the time….

The old “Oh its too late for that….” chestnut has held more people back in life than probably anything else!

Do not kid yourself – IT IS NEVER TOO LATE!!

  1. There is a saying… “The best time to plant an oak tree is 2o years ago – the second best time is NOW!”  Yes.. you should have started your diet in January 2011, but the second best time to start is NOW…!
  2. Kick off 2012 – You can start the New Year off feeling slim and confident – saying “Come on 2012! Let’s be having you!” instead of thinking…. I wish I had of started my diet in November 2011.
  3. Christmas pounds – almost everyone puts on a few pounds at Christmas… if you put off losing weight until the New Year, you will be more than likely have LESS control over Christmas as you will keep convincing yourself… “Sure it’s OK, im doing TFR in the new year” causing you to have more than you should, and giving you a bigger mountain to climb.
  4. Christmas parties – more than likely you will be invited to a Christmas party or two in December, which brings up the old question… “What am I going to wear?” – Which usually results in a trip to the big shopping center down the road…. which usually results in you standing in the changing rooms feeling flustered and about to burst into tears. (sound familiar?) If you start your diet now then you can be 1-2 stone lighter in time for your Christmas Parties – this means you will be looking at clothes 1-2 sizes smaller… more tears of joy than tears of desperation…
  5. Christmas photos – the camera usually comes out around Christmas time, the work night out, family get togethers, opening the presents etc. etc.  The feeling of dread when your hear the snap snap of the camera will not be as bad if you are a couple of sizes smaller – TRUST ME!
  6. New Year Resolutions – Set some exciting new year resolutions! Instead of making a new years resolution to lose weight AGAIN… lose the weight NOW, and make some exciting goals, like run a marathon, do a physical challenge for charity, start going to yoga classes, start swimming, learn how to dance, go to zumba classes or whatever is an exciting fitness goal for you!
  7. Build self discipline – If you start your diet now you can either take a break for Christmas or you can stick to your guns and stay on TFR.  Either way you get the opportunity to build some massive self discipline and prove to yourself that you CAN choose healthy options and that you WILL maintain your weight loss.  If you can be good over the Christmas Overindulgence the you can be good anytime… that will boost your confidence!
  8. There is NEVER a right time – If you are always waiting for the right time to do things, you will be probably find that you never really make much progress in life, that is because the time will NEVER be right… there will ALWAYS be a reason why you shouldn’t start your diet.  In January your reasons will be… “I just need to get settled back into work” – “It’s too cold not to eat!” – “Im too depressed after Christmas – I need to comfort eat!” – “Im too broke after Christmas!” – you get the picture… there really is no better time than NOW!!
  9. Sexy time – What is the best feeling in the world?  When you feel slim, healthy, vibrant, gorgeous, sexy, stylish…???? Im sure you will agree this feeling is hard to beat!  Why not give YOURSELF this feeling in time for Christmas and New Year… when you feel happy and gorgeous you will shine and radiate joy – lighting up the lives of the people who love you. So give yourself, your partner, your family, your kids, give everyone you know the gift of a happier healthier new you for Christmas!
  10. Build Momentum – If you keep putting things off you never get started you never build momentum and never make progress, you will feel stuck and frustrated, start now and build momentum, commit for 21 days…then you can see how you feel!  Just start, build momentum and see where it takes you!
  11. You won’t spend Christmas looking like a Christmas pudding!
