✅ So what’s the difference between Total and Switch?
Here’s how we describe the two main ways to follow the plan, depending on your goals:
🔹 Total Plan
This means 4 New You packs a day — and nothing else.
You can only do this with Total Diet Replacement and VLCD packs for short term use up to 4-5 weeks.
If you’re committing to Total for 4+ weeks we recommend using the Total Diet Replacement products only as they are medical grade and suitable for long term use. Traditionally Total VLCD Diets were recommended up to 12 weeks, however recent guidelines recommend seeking and following the advice of a doctor if you are staying on for more than 8 weeks.
🔹 Switch Plan
This is a more flexible plan where you use ANY New You packs alongside healthy, low-calorie food — like salads, grilled chicken, veg or fish.
Switch plan can be used as a VLCD for short term use (2–4 weeks), especially if you want to ease in or don’t want to be fully strict.
- Switch plan can also be used to achieve a moderate calorie deficit or it can be used to create maintenance calories.
