At The New You Plan, we offer three different types of meal packs — all designed to help you lose weight quickly and safely:

Total Diet Replacement (TDR) Packs

These products meet official EU regulations (2017/1798) and are safe to use as your only source of nutrition when you’re doing 4 packs a day — no food added.
They’re ideal for long-term use, especially if you want to stay on plan for 4 weeks or more.

VLCD Fortified Meal Packs

These are very low in calories and packed with vitamins, minerals, and protein — but they aren’t officially classed as TDR.
They’re ideal for short-term use as part of a Very Low Calorie Diet or when you’re mixing in a little real food, like salads, veg, fish or lean protein.

Protein Products

These are higher in protein and designed to support toning, strength, and healthy maintenance during and after weight loss — They also make a great, tasty, high-protein snack option.


What’s the difference between Total and Switch?

Total Plan

This means 4 New You packs a day — and nothing else.

  • You can only do this with Total Diet Replacement and VLCD packs for short term use up to 4-5 weeks.

  • If you’re committing to Total for 4+ weeks we recommend using the Total Diet Replacement products only as they are medical grade and suitable for long term use. Traditionally Total VLCD Diets were recommended up to 12 weeks, however recent guidelines recommend seeking and following the advice of a doctor if you are staying on for more than 8 weeks.

Switch Plan

This is a more flexible plan where you use ANY New You packs alongside healthy, low-calorie food — like salads, grilled chicken, veg or fish.

  • Switch plan can be used as a VLCD for short term use (2–4 weeks), especially if you want to ease in or don’t want to be fully strict.

  • Switch plan can also be used to achieve a moderate calorie deficit or it can be used to create maintenance calories.

Many of our customers successfully combine The New You Plan with weight loss injections like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Saxenda.

But here’s what’s important to know…

A VLCD on its own is often more effective than injections on their own

If you’re trying to lose weight quickly and feel in control, a Very Low-Calorie Diet (VLCD) like The New You Plan can deliver better results than injections alone and it gives you the nutrition, structure, and support injections don’t.

Why this matters:

Some people on injections eat too little, skip protein, or don’t get proper nutrients — leading to:

  • Feeling tired or foggy

  • Muscle loss

  • Slower long-term results

The New You Plan gives you:

  • 4 structured packs a day = full nutrition, protein, and essential vitamins

  • Clear structure = no food confusion or guessing

  • Confidence and habits to keep going when injections stop

So what should you do?

  • If you’re not using injections — this plan alone works

  • If you are using injections — this plan enhances results and keeps your body strong

  • Either way, you get the structure, support, and success pathway you need

Whether you’re on injections or not — this plan works. And it gives you the tools to feel empowered, energised, and in control — now and for the future.

Most people who come to this plan have already tried cutting back — maybe eating 1,200 or 1,400 calories a day — and felt constantly hungry.
That experience makes them think:

“If I’m already starving at this level, how could I possibly go lower?”

But here’s the truth…
It’s actually the opposite.

When you go into a bigger calorie deficit, like you do on this plan. Most people find that hunger actually disappears after just a few days.
You feel more in control, more energised, and surprisingly less obsessed with food.

Why? Because your hunger hormones (especially ghrelin) start to settle down.
And when you take away sugar spikes, decision fatigue, and emotional eating triggers your body and brain calm down too.

If you’re eating under 50g of carbs per day (which you often will on this plan), your body may also enter ketosis a natural state where it burns fat for energy.
That can reduce hunger even more.
But the hunger reduction happens whether you’re in ketosis or not it’s the calorie deficit, the structure, and the full nutrition that make all the difference.

If you only had around 10–14 lbs to lose, you might already be there or very close.
If so, you can start transitioning off plan with confidence.

It’s completely normal to regain 5–7 lbs of water weight during refeed, this happens whether you do the plan for 21 days or 21 weeks. It’s just your body replenishing glycogen and water. Not fat.

1: Continue with the Total Plan

If your goal is to lose a stone a month, we recommend switching to the New You Total Plan:

  • 4 Total packs per day

  • No food

  • The simplest, fastest path to long-term results

2: Take a short refeed break, then start a new phase

Some customers like to take a 3–5 day refeed after the 21 days, then start another plan refreshed. Ideally stick to a high protein, high fibre and low calorie diet. Many people find doing a moderate calorie deficit is easier after being in a bigger deficit.

You can:

  • Do another VLCD Sprint (2–4 weeks)

  • Or go into a Total Plan if you’re ready for longer-term focus staying on plan more than 4 weeks.

Either way, the short break helps you reset without losing momentum.

3: Switch Plan or Maintenance

If you want more flexibility or you’re close to your goal. Our New You Switch Plan might be the perfect next step.

With Switch, you:

  • Use 2–4 New You packs per day

  • Add in healthy low-calorie meals like grilled chicken, salad, eggs, veg, etc.
