Let Go Of The Old, To Create A New You!

If you want to create a new you, get on with it!  There is no point wasting any more time wishing to be someone different. It is your life, so make the change, and live life the way you REALLY want to!  Here, we share how to make your new you come true!

It is one thing to want to create a new you, to start living a healthy lifestyle, make better choices, think more empowering thoughts, and be more active. But is is slightly harder to make it all actually happen!

The first thing you need to realise is that you need to let go of the old, to make room for the new. If you want to create a new you, you can’t do this when you are holding onto all the old things that have created your problems.

  • You can’t be slim and healthy and still be a couch potato that eats a multi-packet of cheese and onion every night while watching every soap under the sun!
  • You can’t be an early riser to get up and go for a morning walk, if you channel surf to 1am every night and never know where your trainers are in the morning!
  • You can’t be successful on total food replacement, if you can’t say no when offered a cream bun and a wee cup of tea in work!

So do you REALLY want to be slim, fit, active, healthy & stylish?

Create Your Personal New You Plan…

  • Get the weight off! Using our meal replacements you can drop 1-2 jean sizes every month.
  • Focus on what habits you need to change.
  • Focus on your lifestyle choices and make choices that empower you and nourish you.
  • Develop new stress free strategies to stop comfort eating.
  • Believe in yourself, create your new you identity, write it out and read it every day.
  • Get fit and active. Start with walking, get stuck into the garden, declutter the house.. anything that will get you moving!
  • Take up new hobbies – fill your free time doing / making / creating something you love!
  • Remove negative people from your life that bring you down.
  • Look for a support group which will encourage you and support (our Secret Slimmers group is AMAZING).
  • Make creating your new you the single biggest project in your life.
  • Be so busy working on improving yourself that you have no time to criticise others!

To Create A New You, You Have To Leave The Old Behind…

Leaving behind the old can be SCARY. Change usually is. But good scary change, is exciting, empowering, and exhilarating!

Get excited about your transformation. Get excited about what you are going to achieve, who you are going to become and where you are going to go!

Change takes courage. Real change is tough. But if you want a BIG TRANSFORMATION, you are not going to achieve this with a half hearted effort. Your results will be determined by the amount of focus and effort that you put in.  So give it your all, and do it because you know you are worth it!

You need to say good riddance to everything that has been holding you back.

So what are you going to say goodbye to this week?

Leave a comment below and let me know what ONE THING you need to let go of this week.

If you want to create a new you, the process is a journey. It will not happen over night, and sometimes it will be two steps forward, one step back. But as long as you keep moving forward, no matter how many times you blip, you will get to where you want to be. It isn’t a race… it is your journey, just be determined to make the changes that will help you move closer to where you want to be!

      Morning Julz,

Great read over a hot cuppa… Today I’m saying goodbye to the old negative me, that seems to have sneaked her wicked way back in (somehow)

I’ve come to far on plan to just allow self sabotage !! I know that this is what everyone was holding out for the day that I gave up and allowed my big bad wolves come to devour the positive n happy ME!!

I don’t really have a valid reason for allowing them in, I can only think it was due to TOTM as I had it now for nearly 2 weeks!

I have a feeling you are going to KILL IT this week Kate! I am so glad you are standing up to the thoughts and behaviours that are self sabotaging you, you are such a strong beautiful lady and it is your time to step fully into your new you and make sure that nothing stops you from crossing that finish line. You started this journey to get to your healthy, don’t let yourself get close and settle, go for your goal, make sure you win… don’t listen to that bad wolf! 😉

Hope you have a fab week! xxx

Morning Julz, great blog post, thanks 🙂 I really struggled with my Sunday Set for Success last night, feeling a bit at sea for my first week of non TFR eating, and a bit scared of letting my NewYou products go! But this blog has definitely refocused me and I’ll have my weeks plan sorted in no time now. You really are a magical motivator! I love your new idea for the 100% motivation, well done!

Woohoo Rachel! Lovely to hear from you 🙂

If you are refeeding the best thing to do is still use the new you products and just replace 1/2 meals with a healthy low carb meal with lots of fresh greens and lean protein. Keep it simple in your mind, keep your food simple. Plan your meals out. Planning is EVERYTHING.

I am excited about the 100% challenge – I think it will help a lot of people!! Woohoo 🙂 You can take part and be 100% on your refeed 🙂

Hey Jules, I loved your blog this morning, I really enjoyed it. Where do I begin with the amount of things I need to let go of to get myself back on the plan 100%…. I’ve become way too complacent. I started the NY plan back in April, coincidentally on the same day as Kate Hackett(who has been a brilliant motivator of mine I might add!). I managed to reach my goal weight and lost 2 stone in that time and I’ve kept it off. I went on holidays mid August and I’ve completely gone off the rails since. While I’ve managed to keep my weight in check, I’m up a few pounds one week and loose them the next week and that’s the pattern I find myself in now these past few weeks. I’ve slipped back into the bad habit of picking at food, feeling sluggish and tired and I don’t like it. I could do with loosing another 7 to 9 lbs but the way I’m going I’ll be gaining and not loosing. I suppose I’m worried at how quickly my old habits crept back up on me and that’s not good. Hope I find my way back soon. Thanks for today’s blog, it’s just what I needed :0)

YES!!!! I REALLY WANT TO BE SLIM AND HEALTHY!!! I am so determined to leave the old behind and continue with the NEW ME!!!!! I love this quote so much because I constantly say how much I want to change and how I am going to do X, Y & Z but if what I do and what I say doesn’t match then how am I ever going to change!!!!!! From now.. NO MATTER WHAT…. I am going to make sure that what I think, what I say and what I do collate with eachother!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I need to stop thinking & just do. I need to develop patience around changes that I need to make in my life to ensure I prevent stresses building up that always lead me to eat.

This is a great opportunity for people to be honest with themselves about changes they need to make to create a new you, or even find the old one.

Loved reading this….WHOO HOO see my Katie is BACK!!! Like Rachel I am on refeed and a bit nervous. Haven’t done a shop and as Jim only back in Spain with me for a week have been eating out….just protein and veg or salad one meal a day, the rest my products….thought I had put on a 1/4 lb but it’s just been fluid and GONE…yay. I love the simplisticallity …have I just made a word up pmsl of the plan….it WORKS…the group and YOU are amazing…..for the FIRST time in my life I KNOW I am going to do this…with all your continued support. TODAY…going to go to the vibor gym…every day if possible…was enjoying it while back in the UK but with the organising and events going on haven’t been now for a couple of weeks. Health issues stop me doing anything more strenuous but I am managing the stairs in the house better albeit I ONLY go up ONCE a day lol….have a great day everyone. xxx

You are killing it, and celebrating all those small wins. I know what it is like not being able to go up the stairs, I just went up our stairs the other day for the first time in nearly 9 weeks.

Enjoy Spain, and you are a ray of sunshine in our secret slimmers group, thank you for being you 🙂
