Frequently Asked Questions Friday Today the stunning Suzanne and Lorna Answer: What is the difference between the Snacks and TFR products

Today:

What is the difference between a TFR product and a Snack item:

The first thing here would be to define each item, a TFR product is a Total Food Replacement product that is intended to give you all the required nutrients in a day. Here at The New You Plan our TFR products contain 25% of your RDA’s – Recommended Daily Allowance of nutrients.

The snack items are purely high protein and are designed to be ketosis friendly. Really Important to note here is that all the food products that The New You Plan sell are suitable for a ketosis diet. Please do not allow the above explanation to confuse you into thinking that TFR products are not ketogenic when in actual fact they are. In simple terms the snack items are used for just that – a healthy snack on the odd day when you are finding the diet a little harder.

The snacks are also used by people who are in the refeed stage of the diet where by they are returning to conventional food either because they have reached the 12 week limit on the plan or they are at their healthy BMI and are coming off the diet completely. Some people continue to order our snacks long after they have finished the diet to help maintain their weight loss by eating our products rather than high calorie alternatives.

How many of the TFR Products should you have vs. Snack poducts?

You will be really happy to hear that this is simple formula to follow – both men and woman have four TFR products a day – this is essential as the products contain 25% of your RDA’s as mentioned earlier so you need four to ensure you get 100% of the nutrients you need each day. If your weight is over 17 stone we recommend having 5 TFR products a day to remain healthy and ensure safe weight loss.

In relation to the snacks, again the equation here is simple in that we recommend trying to stick to 1-2 snacks per week and please avoid exceeding 3. Although the snacks are ketogenic, eating too many of them can slow down weight loss.
