Ellie’s VLCD Blog – Day 91 (REFEED)



Hey Everyone,

Thank you all for joining me at the end of my first week of refeed. It has been such a busy week for me however I am still smiling, feeling slim and loving life. As you can see I have stayed the same weight as last week which I am extremely  happy about. I had a weekend away there for my sisters hen, I did make some great choices  and it has really paid off.

I was quite scared and afraid to go on to refeed, I was worried about what foods to get, how much to eat of certain things and I was simply afraid of falling back into old bad habits. This did not happen, I was more alert and switched on than I have ever been.  I was looking at calories on food packets, I was having smaller portions and I kept sip sip sipping my water to make sure I still reached around the 4 litre mark everyday. This stopped any bloated feelings and it makes you feel just as good as being on the plan 100%.

Every day when I woke I had my shake as normal, then in the afternoon I had a soup or a bar if I was feeling snackish. In the evenings after work I had then a cooked meal, this was just a small portioned meal full of yummy tastes and flavours. Usually chicken, fish, steak with some lean green veg and a few herbs and spices to kick the taste up a notch. Oh my it was lovely and it makes me think why I didn’t pick these yummy choices before. The Momentum Maintainers group on our facebook was a great support for me, it is filled with tons of ideas on what kinds of foods to eat and how to make them, I must admit I stole a few wee recipes and will definitely be using them a lot more in the future. I am writing down every nice low calorie meal I have so I can build up loads of recipes and never run our of ideas when I reach my goal in hopefully a months time. Obviously I am still attending the gym 3-5 times per week and toning up, the gym just makes me feel refreshed and ready to KICK START the day and KICK-ASS to any problems I have. Definitely a hobby I will not give up. Loving it 🙂

The picture above was taken on the first night of my sisters hen weekend, we took a trip to London and this was on our nerds/geeks theme night.  I had a few wee drinks and danced the night away (Burning calories) 🙂 . I was thinking what is the best to drink and making great choices and having a great time. I felt wonderful dressed up and a lot slimmer than I have been for years which was an extra bonus. People were commenting on my weight and how much I have lost… The attention was a little on me and it felt wonderful.

As you can see from above I have took some photos from the weekend and compared them with photos from before I started the New You Plan. I cannot believe the changes myself and it is making me more and more excited and determined to reach my ultimate goal.
